Apple cancel their London music festival

Ten years since it’s 2007 launch as the iTunes Festival, the rebranded Apple Music Festival has been axed by the company.

Dozens of high profile acts played the festival during it’s decade tenure, including Adele, Oasis, Mumford & Sons, Paul Simon, Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, Lady Gaga, Arctic Monkeys, Kendrick Lamar, and One Direction. The 2016 lineup included Elton John, Alicia Keys, and The 1975. The event was hosted at London’s Roundhouse since 2009.

Apple does continue to sponsor individual events, and records regular live sessions for it’s ‘Up Next‘ series. Apple also produce internet hit ‘Carpool Karaoke’.
