Sabrina Carpenter’s rumoured diss track aimed at ex-boyfriend Barry Keoghan, ‘Manchild’, has been named the most profitable of 2025, according to a new study. The music experts at SeatPick estimate the song has earned over £1.7 million in royalties from more than 510 million Spotify streams. Fans have long speculated the track is about the actor following the pair’s reported relationship between December 2023 and December 2024.
The report comes amidst a resurgence in high-profile diss tracks, including Lily Allen’s ‘Pussy Palace’ and Taylor Swift’s ‘Actually Romantic’. Looking at the past decade, the study found Miley Cyrus’s hit ‘Flowers’, believed to be about ex-husband Liam Hemsworth, is the most profitable diss track overall, raking in an estimated £9.2 million. The song notably broke Spotify records, becoming the fastest to reach one billion streams.
In the 2025 rankings, Taylor Swift’s recent jab at Charli XCX, ‘Actually Romantic’, takes second place. Released just over a month ago, the track has already accumulated over 135 million streams and an estimated £467,000 in royalties. It is considered a response to Charli’s ‘Sympathy is a Knife’, which fans have theorised was written about Swift. Tate McRae’s ‘TIT FOR TAT’ places third, a clapback to The Kid Laroi which has earned £379,000.
Sabrina Carpenter makes a second appearance in the top five with ‘Goodbye’, another song speculated to be about Keoghan, which landed in fourth place. Cardi B is featured three times in the top ten with ‘Outside’, ‘Pretty & Petty’, and ‘Magnet’. Rounding out the top ten is Lily Allen’s ‘Pussy Palace’, a track aimed at David Harbour that has already earned over £34,000 in just a few weeks.
