Mighty Hoopla
An openly pop-loving event in Brockwell Park, Mighty Hoopla has transformed the London festival scene. Popular among the LGBTQ+ community, the festival focuses on no-judgement fun – and lip-sync battles, glitter makeovers, and over-the-top fashion, of course.
With over 200 performers from all genres, including alternative, pop, and dance, Mighty Hoopla is a party for all. Acts confirmed for 2024 include Nelly Furtado, Kim Petras, and Rita Ora. There’s also expected to be an array of cabaret collectives, club nights, and comedy shows, so you’ll never be lacking in things to do.
We Are FSTVL
Having recently celebrated its 10th anniversary this year, We Are FSTVL is set to return to Central Park Dagenham again between May 25-26, 2024. The bank holiday weekend is already looking promising, featuring artists like Chase & Status, MK, and Eric Prydz.
With an eclectic mix of techno, house, and drum and bass music, the FSTVL field is gearing up to be the hottest place to kickstart the summer.
The festival is a firm favourite among Londoners as it can be reached easily from the tube. If you’re travelling from outside the capital, you’ll first need to get the train to London Kings Cross Station, followed by a short walk to London St Pancras Station to get the tube
Wireless
One of Europe’s biggest celebrations of R&B, hip-hop, and grime-influenced music is back and better than ever. While the lineup for Wireless 2024 has yet to be announced, we can expect some big industry names going off of this year’s artists, which included exclusive performances from D-Block Europe, Travis Scott, and 50 Cent.
Wireless also tends to give up-and-coming musicians a place to make a name for themselves. Who knows? You might find your new favourite artist. Alongside high-budget productions and visuals and unbelievable sound quality, Wireless is certainly an event not to miss.
