Truck Festival has unveiled its highly anticipated first wave of artists for 2026, confirming five major headliners for the Oxfordshire event. The festival, which returns to Hill Farm from 23rd to 26th July 2026, will feature headline performances from The Maccabees, Two Door Cinema Club, The Wombats, CMAT, and The Libertines. Following a sell-out year in 2025, organisers have reported record demand for the upcoming edition, with 75% of tickets already sold.
The announcement is led by the long-awaited Truck debut of The Maccabees, who recently reunited to the delight of indie fans. They will be joined by Two Door Cinema Club, who return to the festival to celebrate the 15th anniversary of their seminal debut album, Tourist History. Sunday night will see a massive co-headline slot featuring The Libertines and The Wombats. The Libertines bring a career-spanning set of classics like ‘Can’t Stand Me Now’ and ‘Time For Heroes’, while The Wombats return with their arena-sized anthems following the release of their latest album, Oh! The Ocean.
Kicking off the headline proceedings on Thursday night is CMAT, who makes her main stage headline debut following a standout 12 months that have cemented her status as a “global national treasure”. Speaking about the booking, Head of Marketing John Dell said: “To welcome a reformed The Maccabees to Truck is a real bucket list moment for us and to have CMAT back to claim her rightful spot as a UK festival headliner after 2025’s unforgettable set is going to be a really special occasion.”
Tickets for Truck Festival 2026 go back on sale this week. A limited pre-sale will be available from 6pm on Thursday 27th November for those who have signed up in advance. Remaining Tier 4 tickets will then be released on general sale at 10am on Friday 28th November. With the 2025 edition selling out by March, organisers are encouraging fans to act quickly to secure their place at Hill Farm.
Beyond the headliners, the lineup is packed with special anniversary sets and indie heavyweights. The Vaccines return as special guests to mark 15 years of their debut album What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?. The bill also features Kaiser Chiefs, Primal Scream, and The Cribs, ensuring a weekend filled with singalong anthems. Mercury Prize winners English Teacher, Circa Waves, Everything Everything, and Friendly Fires have also been confirmed for the July weekender.
As always, Truck Festival champions the best in new and alternative music. The 2026 roster includes rising stars such as Keo, Florence Road, The Royston Club, The K’s, and Radio Free Alice. The festival’s unique character remains intact with the return of beloved traditions including The Oxford Symphony Orchestra, the annual Paint Party, and fitness legend Mr Motivator, who will once again lead the Sunday morning workout.
Speaking on the lineup, Dan Haggis of The Wombats shared his excitement: “We’ve played Truck a few times now and it never disappoints, it’s always a highlight of our summer and we’re so excited to be back headlining it again in 2026! See you there.” With further announcements expected in the coming months, Truck Festival 2026 is shaping up to be one of the most significant events in the UK’s indie music calendar.
