Pittsfield, Massachusetts death metal band Vomit Forth have signed to Pure Noise Records and announced their new EP, In The Name Of The Father, set for release on Thursday 23rd April 2026. The announcement is accompanied by the release of the debut single, “Prophecy of Defilement”, which is available to listen to and watch now.
In The Name Of The Father marks the band’s first body of work since their 2024 album Terrified Of God, and represents a significant step forward — both sonically and personally. Blending cavernous brutality with a raw, confronting edge, the three-track EP sees the band honing one of the most uncompromising voices in modern death metal.
The EP was born from personal tragedy. Vocalist Kane Gelaznik explains that the release started with a single song, “Born King”, written from a place of frustration before the death of his father changed everything: “Not long after I lost my father, suddenly and without warning, I started to reflect on myself as a person and my art. Realising there was something more here than just a song about my unnecessary and juvenile resentment.” In the studio, the song evolved into two separate tracks — “Contrition” and “Born King” — with the EP’s overarching theme shifting to grief, failure, and ultimately, growth.
“I wrote the lyrics in a way that was vague enough so that the listener could apply these themes from my life to their own,” Gelaznik adds. “In hopes that something positive could come from my own tragedy.”
The lead single, “Prophecy of Defilement”, sets the tone for that emotional scope. The band describe it as “a song about dealing with all the horrible parts of yourself and coming to terms with the fact that we are all fundamentally flawed. As such we are doomed to fail and destined to transgress.”

The EP’s full three-track listing is as follows:
- Prophecy of Defilement
- Contrition
- Born King
In The Name Of The Father is available to pre-order now.
