The Blackout announce December 2026 UK tour to mark 15 years of ‘Hope’

The Blackout

The Blackout have announced a headline UK tour for December 2026 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of their acclaimed third studio album, “Hope”. Tickets go on sale Friday 28th August at 10am via www.gigsandtours.com and www.ticketmaster.co.uk.

The announcement follows a special immersive live show in Wales earlier this month, and comes off the back of a run of major appearances for the Merthyr Tydfil six-piece, including a celebrated return at Download Festival 2023, a sold-out UK tour in early 2024, outdoor performances alongside Funeral for a Friend, and a headline slot at Chepstow Castle in 2025.

The three-date run kicks off in Birmingham before heading to London and Manchester. Full dates are below.

THE BLACKOUT — ‘HOPE’ 15TH ANNIVERSARY UK TOUR DATES

  • Friday 4 December 2026, Birmingham, XOYO Birmingham
  • Saturday 5 December 2026, London, Electric Ballroom
  • Sunday 6 December 2026, Manchester, Academy 2

“Hope” was originally released in 2011 via Cooking Vinyl and remains the band’s highest-charting record in the UK, entering the official album chart at number 27. The album features fan favourites “Higher & Higher“, “Never By Your Side” and “The Storm“.

Frontman Sean Smith explained the significance of the shows, saying the band are “very excited to play HOPE in full for its 15th anniversary at these shows”, adding that “the album means a load to the band, and it was only possible to make this album because of the support from people who liked the band.”

Smith also revealed the setlist could stretch further back than 2011, since this December also marks the 20th anniversary of the band’s first EP, “The Blackout The Blackout The Blackout”. “So we might throw a few songs in from that too,” he said. “It’s gonna be a night of nostalgia, love and laughs!”

With only three dates confirmed so far (Birmingham, London and Manchester), fans hoping to catch the full “Hope” experience live will need to move quickly once tickets go on sale this Friday.
