Scouting For Girls have sold out London’s OVO Arena Wembley more than five months in advance of their 20th anniversary show, and have added four intimate warm-up dates in Belfast, Dublin, Glasgow and Cardiff.
The band will mark twenty years together with the two biggest headline shows of their career so far, at Manchester’s AO Arena on 12 February 2027 and a now sold out homecoming at the OVO Arena Wembley the following night. Special guests The Hoosiers will join them at both arena dates.
The warm-up run starts at Belfast’s Limelight on 28 January 2027, followed by The Academy in Dublin on 29 January, Glasgow’s Barrowlands on 4 February and Cardiff’s Tramshed on 5 February. Tickets are on sale now for Belfast, Dublin, Glasgow and Cardiff.
Demand has already been huge, with Wembley completely sold out. Tickets remain available for Manchester’s AO Arena. Fans can expect wall to wall hits, fan favourites and a few surprises as the trio look back over twenty years together.
Roy Stride said: “Selling out Wembley Arena is completely ridiculous. We grew up just down the road and one of the first gigs we ever played together was at Wembley Youth Club, so to know that Wembley Arena is now completely sold out five months in advance is genuinely hard to get our heads around.”
He added: “We wanted to add a few smaller shows before Wembley and Manchester so we could take the anniversary party around the country, and also remind ourselves what it feels like to be able to see the people in the back row. Belfast, Dublin, Glasgow and Cardiff are going to be very special.”
The anniversary dates land with the band’s new album, These Are The Good Days, already out now. Their recent headline tour sold out all 24 shows, while their previous album returned them to the Top 20 for the first time in eight years. Stride said the record is about “bringing people together through live music and having a good time and singing along.”
Focus track Stars Never Fade was written in response to the atmosphere around Oasis’s comeback, with Stride pitching its huge chorus as the band’s answer to Don’t Look Back In Anger. Other highlights include arena anthem Get What You Give, the thumping Waiting For Your Love, folk pop cut Love Gone Bad, and closer Alright In The End, which nods to Billy Joel, Randy Newman and a touch of 80s pop sophistication.
Formats include two vinyl designs and three CDs themed around each band member. Roy’s edition adds five unplugged tracks, bassist Greg Churchouse’s adds four new songs from the sessions plus an alternate vocal of Counting Down The Days, and drummer Pete Ellard’s features band commentary for every song.
