Bananarama will headline Live at Lincoln Castle on Saturday 19 June 2027, with special guests Tony Hadley and Altered Images. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday via lincolncastle.com and ticketmaster.co.uk.
The date is part of the band’s Too Hot To Handle Greatest Hits Summer Tour, a run of headline shows that also includes dates announced today at Llangollen Pavilion and Cardiff Castle. Sara Dallin and Keren Woodward will bring a career spanning set of 80s hits to the castle grounds, with Tony Hadley and Altered Images completing the bill.
Announcing the shows, Sara Dallin said: “Summer 2027 we are so ready for you! We can’t wait to perform all of our biggest hit singles and bring the Bananarama party to some of the UK’s most brilliant outdoor venues!”
Keren Woodward added: “We promise a night of real 80s nostalgia and along with our special guests, guarantee an evening that will have everyone dancing and singing along!”
Bananarama are the latest artists announced for Live at Lincoln Castle 2027, which will also include headline shows from Kaiser Chiefs, Jack Savoretti and James Morrison, Ronan Keating, Holly Johnson, and Alfie Boe. More dates and artists are still to be confirmed.
The concerts are presented through an ongoing partnership between Lincolnshire County Council and Live Nation promoters Cuffe and Taylor. Cuffe and Taylor promoter Mark Harrison said the bill “really does have something for everyone”, adding that it will be “another brilliant summer night of live music, with plenty of big songs and, no doubt, plenty of dancing too.”

Lincoln Castle manager Kimberley Vickers called the show “a fantastic addition to next summer’s line-up” and promised “more amazing announcements are on the way”. “Take some of the biggest floor-filling anthems of the past four decades and add one of the most incredible historic venues in the country, and it’s sure to be Love In The First Degree,” she said.
This summer Bananarama marked 40 years since the release of their studio album True Confessions, with a special anniversary edition reaching number six in the UK album chart. The band hold the Guinness World Record for the highest number of chart entries by an all-female group, have sold more than 30 million records, and have scored 10 UK top 10 hits, including Cruel Summer, Venus, Love In The First Degree, Nathan Jones, Robert De Niro’s Waiting and I Heard A Rumour.
The 2024 release of Glorious: The Ultimate Collection marked more than 40 years of chart success for lifelong friends Dallin and Woodward. This summer they are also due to join Scissor Sisters as special guests at Heritage Live at Audley End on Thursday 6 August 2026.

Joining them in Lincoln is Tony Hadley, whose voice helped define Spandau Ballet hits including True, Gold, Only When You Leave and Through the Barricades. Opening the night are Scottish new wave favourites Altered Images, fronted by Clare Grogan, with hits including Happy Birthday, I Could Be Happy and Don’t Talk to Me About Love.
Built by William the Conqueror in 1068, Lincoln Castle is owned and operated by Lincolnshire County Council. More information is at lincolncastle.com.
