Courteeners will take their indie anthems outdoors next summer, with three headline shows announced for 2027. The Manchester band will play Live at Lincoln Castle on Friday 11 June, Scarborough Open Air Theatre on Saturday 12 June, and Live at The Piece Hall, Halifax on Friday 9 July.
Special guests have already been named for each date. In Lincoln, Courteeners will be joined by The Coral and The Guestlist. In Scarborough, The Coral return with Seb Lowe. In Halifax, rising indie artist Ellur will support.
Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday via ticketmaster.co.uk.
The shows follow a landmark year for the band, who marked 20 years with God Bless The Band, a greatest hits collection spanning all seven studio albums. It also featured two new tracks, The Luckiest Man Alive and Plus One Forever, and reached Number Two in the UK Albums Chart. That same year included a sold-out homecoming at Manchester’s Wythenshawe Park in August and a nationwide headline arena tour.
Since debut album St. Jude in 2008, Courteeners have sold more than one million albums in the UK. Each of their last five albums reached the Top 5. In 2023, St. Jude went to Number One, 15 years after it was first released.
The band are known for turning arenas and festival fields into mass singalongs, with fan favourites including Not Nineteen Forever, Are You In Love With A Notion?, Bide Your Time, Cavorting, No You Didn’t, No You Don’t and Modern Love. Their return to Scarborough Open Air Theatre is billed as another night of communal choruses on the Yorkshire coast.
