Introducing Bigfoot, a brand new three-day festival that’s set to take the crown as the UK’s ultimate boutique event for tastemakers of food, drink and music. Taking place from 19 – 21 June 2020 in the beautiful surroundings of Ragley Hall, a stately home in Warwickshire, Bigfoot joins the dots between modern beer & wine culture, innovative gastronomy and the most exciting musicians of the moment.
A new festival from We Are Beer, the team behind the much-loved London, Bristol, Edinburgh & Birmingham Craft Beer Festivals, Bigfoot is born out of modern beer culture yet sets out to disrupt it, eschewing existing ‘beer festival’ tropes and flipping traditions on their head.
With four music stages and a late-night dance tent, the 60+ artist line up at Bigfoot is as considered and progressive as the food & drink offering. A stellar roster of 15 restaurants, 50+ craft breweries, chef-led banqueting from world-class names, a kids programme, lakeside hot tubs, a cinema and a health & wellness programme amount to a truly holistic festival experience.
The Music
Headlining the inaugural festival are the enfants terribles of scuzzy nihilistic post-punk rock, Fat White Family; pioneers of left-leaning electronic pop, Little Dragon, and Hot Chip Mega Mix, the incendiary party-starting DJ set up from the indie/electronic national treasures.
Joining them will be raconteur Baxter Dury, the London African Gospel Choir who will perform Paul Simon’s seminal classic ‘Graceland’; purveyors of emotive electronic music Maribou State (DJ set), Running Back label boss and perennial festival favourite Gerd Janson; electro alt-rock royalty Erol Alkan and more.
With a stage curated by Malawi’s esteemed Lake Of Stars festival and many more names yet to be announced, Bigfoot’s line up stands out as uniquely rich and diverse against the all-too-often cookie-cutter UK festival line ups.
The Food
With a proven track record of working with the best of the best in food, the team behind Bigfoot are laying on an unrivalled feast, featuring chef-led banqueting from some of the biggest names in modern food, casual dining pop-ups from the most exciting restaurants around the country, and everything in between.
Decamping to Ragley Hall in 2020 will be one of the original farm-to-table restaurants 10 Greek Street; everyone’s favourite burger pioneers Patty & Bun, meat-free and magnificent vegan Mexican joint Club Mexicana, and many more.
The Beer and Drinks
For the first time ever, a major UK festival will offer the festival goer with the freedom to choose from 20 of the best breweries. Much like the music, the beer curation at the festival is all about creativity, discovery and independent spirit.
Some of the most exciting young breweries like Verdant and Brick will pour alongside craft legends like Northern Monk and Wild Beer Co. Reaching out beyond beer to fellow ferments, low-intervention wines, fine ciders, and artisan spirits will all also be on offer.
