With summer on the horizon, Boomtown 2025, taking place from 6th to 10th August at the Matterley Estate in Hampshire, has officially sold out. Now, with every last corner of the lineup announced, the long weekend is set for what promises to be one of the most powerful chapters in Boomtown history. An ever-evolving entity, Boomtown is a vibrant parallel universe, bustling with eight distinct city districts that play host to 12 main stages, over 50 hidden venues, and thousands of performers from musical acts to on the ground actors. The musical programme at Boomtown is a diverse wonderland featuring talent from the worlds of hip-hop, post-punk, world music, reggae, folk, drum and bass, techno, house, rock, jungle, disco, psytrance, and beyond.

Grand Central, will host some of the biggest acts in the game, including Sean Paul, Azealia Banks, Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter, Kurupt FM, Souls Of Mischief, 4AM Kru, The Wailers, Koffee, and Fat Dog. Over at The Lion’s Gate, the beats will be heavy from Nia Archives, Girls Don’t Sync, Joy Orbison, Overmono and Rudimental including a Friday takeover by BBC Radio 1 Dance.
Anara Forest will bring an eclectic mix of bass driven sounds, from the raw energy of jungle, reggae, and bassline to the deeper tones of UK garage, DnB and grime. Expect sets from legends like Congo Natty, General Levy & Friends, and DJ Marky, with takeovers from Critical Sound and 5 years of Ec2a . A new addition to Boomtown, the groundbreaking HYDRO Stage (the UK’s first hydrogen-powered stage at a major festival), will immerse you in house and techno from sets like The Blessed Madonna, Chris Stussy and Ben Hemsley, alongside other stellar acts throughout the weekend.
Nexus will bring grime, garage, and hip-hop to the forefront with Bashy, Casisdead, and MJ Cole leading the charge. Elsewhere across the festival, Engine House, Hangar 161, Tribe of Frog, Wrong Side of the Tracks, Hidden Woods, Tangled Roots, Spectrum 360, Foggers Mill, Buskers Wharf, and Acid Leak will showcase hundreds of artists across a diverse range of genres, from underground bass to folk, punk, and everything in between.
And that’s just the music programming. Boomtown Chapter Four: The Power of Now offers an entire world for festival goers to discover. With three core pillars – Creativity, Connection, and Celebration – Boomtown invites everyone to embrace the values of respect: respect yourself, respect each other, and respect the planet. This year, the festival also introduces Thrutopia, a brand-new area dedicated to rejuvenation, education, connection, social change and creativity. Drawing inspiration from the teachings of visionary author Manda Scott, Thrutopia provides a sanctuary for attendees to recharge through transformative workshops, breathwork, and discussions on sustainability, activism and self-awareness, offering the perfect space to reflect and reconnect. This unique area ensures festival goers can fully embrace the spirit of Chapter 4: The Power of Now.
