Music legend Eric Clapton has been announced as the first major headliner for the 2026 HeritageLive concert series at the Royal Sandringham Estate in Norfolk. The exclusive outdoor show is scheduled for Sunday, 23rd August 2026, marking a significant addition to the summer music calendar.

This performance will be part of a wider series of large-scale concerts presented by HeritageLive at the Estate, running from 20th to 23rd August next year. Clapton, widely recognised as one of the most influential guitarists of all time, will be joined by special guests who are yet to be announced.

Tickets for the event will be released in early December. Fans wishing to access the pre-sale must register in advance. The pre-sale begins on Wednesday, 3rd December at 9:00am, followed by a general sale on Friday, 5th December at 9:00am.

Giles Cooper of HeritageLive Festivals expressed his excitement about securing the rock icon for the venue. “Eric Clapton is one of the greatest musicians of all time and it’s a dream come true for all of us at HeritageLive Festivals to have him play at The Sandringham Estate for us next August,” he said. “It’s going to be such a special and unique event – one of those gigs where you say in years to come ‘I was there!’. We just can’t wait.”

Clapton’s career spans decades, from his emergence in the 1960s with The Yardbirds, John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers, and Cream, to a highly successful solo career. He remains the only musician to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame three times. He recently released his 22nd studio album, Meanwhile, which features collaborations with Van Morrison and the late Jeff Beck.
