Green Man takes place each August at it’s picturesque home in the Brecon Beacons. The festival features 10 distinct areas.
Michael Kiwanuka, Caribou, Mac Demarco and Little Dragon have been unveiled as the headliners. It’ll be Mac Demarco’s only UK show for the year, with the Welsh festival bagging an exclusive appearance.
Plastic straws and plastic glitter are both banned at Green Man, with the festival claiming to have never supplied plastic straws from its bars in all the years it’s been running. Traders and face painters supply only biodegradable glitter and attendees are asked to refrain from bringing non-biodegradable glitter with them.
No disposable plastics are sold anywhere on site. All packaging and cutlery supplied by food traders must be certified compostable. Green Man’s bars will supply reusable, stacking cups, which fans can take home and keep after the festival.
The festival regularly teams up with charities such as Help Refugees, who will operate drop-off points for unwanted tents and camping equipment. Tents must be taken to the drop-off points to be donated and should never be left in the fields.
