Junction 2 has announced a significant format change for its 10th anniversary edition, scaling back to focus on two core stages while revealing an impressive phase one lineup across three dates this summer. The London festival returns to Boston Manor Park on 25th and 26th July, and 2nd August 2026, with The Bridge and The Woods forming the foundation of what organisers are calling J2 X.

The move comes as festival organisers cite rising production costs, the impact of the 2023 cancellation due to industrial action, and the ongoing cost-of-living crisis as key factors in reshaping the event. “We’re grateful to still be here, championing cutting-edge electronic music — but to keep going, we need to adapt,” they explained in a statement. The Bridge, the industrial open-air dancefloor beneath the M4 flyover that has defined Junction 2 since its inception, will continue as the festival’s centerpiece, while The Woods maintains its reputation as an intimate woodland space dedicated to deeper, underground sounds.

The first wave of artists spans three distinct programming approaches. Saturday 25th July sees Junction 2 collaborate with London’s fabric, bringing techno heavyweights Nina Kraviz and Jeff Mills alongside Francesco del Garda, Nicolas Lutz, and Gabrielle Kwarteng b2b Peach. Sunday 26th July explores melodic and ethereal territory with Miss Monique, Indo Warehouse, Franky Wah, Aaron Hibell, and Carina Lawrence, plus a major headliner still to be announced.

The final date on Sunday 2nd August leans into harder, faster techno with I Hate Models leading a lineup that includes Funk Tribu, Charlie Sparks, AMMARA, Supergloss, Caravel, Leo Pol, Lammer, and MARCELDUNE. Each day represents what organisers describe as “its own shade of house and techno,” maintaining the festival’s reputation for programming across the electronic music spectrum.

Junction 2 will sit within The Bridge, a new series of six electronic music events taking place across two weekends at Boston Manor Park from 24th–26th July and 31st July–2nd August 2026. The series has already announced Hedex presents: My Home Is The Rave, with further announcements expected from promoter LWE.

Festival organisers emphasised that the streamlined approach will allow them to enhance the overall experience. “By focusing on two flagship stages, we can put more attention into sound, production and the overall experience — refining what truly makes Junction 2 stand out,” they said. The announcement positions J2 X as both a celebration of the festival’s decade-long journey and a reset for its future direction.

The 10th anniversary celebrations extend beyond Boston Manor Park, with organisers hinting at a wider series of global events to mark the milestone. Further announcements are expected in the coming months as Junction 2 builds towards what it describes as “a return to foundations, and a moment to mark ten years of sound, community and forward motion.”
