Sziget Festival has unveiled the first wave of artists for its 2026 edition, confirming Twenty One Pilots, Florence + The Machine, and Lewis Capaldi as the leading names for the ‘Island of Freedom’. The major European festival is set to return to Óbuda Island in Budapest next summer, taking place from 11–15 August 2026.

This announcement marks a significant start to the festival’s campaign, featuring some highly anticipated returns. Florence + The Machine will arrive in Budapest armed with their new album Everybody Scream, while Lewis Capaldi is set for a major Main Stage comeback. In a significant nod to the festival’s history, electronic pioneers Underworld have been confirmed for their first Sziget performance in over 20 years.

Tickets for the 2026 event are currently on sale, with Full Festival Passes priced at €279 and a special 21 & Under Pass available for €229. Organisers have warned that these prices are time-sensitive, with the next price increase scheduled for 7pm GMT on 16 December. Camping is included with all accommodation passes, though upgrades are available. Tickets can be purchased here.

Beyond the headliners, the initial lineup demonstrates the genre-spanning approach Sziget is known for. The bill includes breakout star SOMBR, rock titans Biffy Clyro, and the genre-hopping multi-instrumentalist Tash Sultana. Electronic music fans will be catered for with appearances from Dom Dolla, Joris Voorn, and Pan-Pot, while an intriguing new project, TOMORA—a collaboration between Aurora and Tom Rowlands—is also set to debut.

CEO Tamás Kádár teased that this initial announcement is just the tip of the iceberg for the 2026 edition. “This is only the beginning,” Kádár stated, promising that the festival will maintain its reputation as a “world-within-a-world.” Attendees can expect the usual mix of circus, performance art, and cultural installations alongside the music, transforming the island into a 24-hour playground.

The festival also continues to champion rising talent and alternative sounds. Viral rap disruptor bbno$ and US singer-songwriter Dijon join the bill, alongside UK punk outfits Bad Nerves, Lambrini Girls, and ALT BLK ERA. Local Hungarian talent is represented by Makrohang, Sisi, and Elefánt.
