Final preparations underway for Swingtime in the Gardens

A stunning line-up of acts and the times they will entertain the crowds at this weekend’s jive and swing festival Swingtime in the Gardens has been unveiled.

There will be 16 acts performing inside the festival’s main tent in the grounds of beautiful Ragley Hall in Alcester, Warwickshire, on Saturday.

West End star Cassidy Janson, world-renowned jump and jive group The Jive Aces and 40s-inspired victory band The Satin Dollz are headlining the event.

Show organiser Antonio Socci, who is busy putting the finishing touches to preparations as the event draws nearer, said: “It’s going to be a wonderful day of music, singing and dancing and now we have unveiled the full set list, people can really plan their day. It’s going to be a lot of fun for all the family.”

Tickets are still available for the vintage-inspired day, which will also have six complimentary 30-minute workshops, including a jive and swing dance session inside the hall.

A funfair complete with traditional swing boats, a carousel and classic fairground stalls will bring yet more excitement, alongside the hall’s stunning boating lake, vintage clothing and accessory marketplaces and best of British food stalls.

Proceeds from a raffle will also be split between two charities – the Acorns Children’s Hospice which cares for babies, children and young people with life-limiting or threatening conditions and military charity The Not Forgotten Association.
