The Electric Hamster Race is coming to Yarmouth

For the first time in recent memory, the legendary Electric Hamster Race is making its way out of the fields of the festival circuit and onto the historic Marine Parade of Great Yarmouth, and to the iconic Empire Theatre.

The Great Yarmouth Empire will be transformed during the race into a vibrant hub of hamster-fuelled mayhem unforgettable music, and eccentric entertainment. Due into Yarmouth on 22 November, Britain’s second-most easterly resort town can expect a night like no other, filled with strange music, even stranger people, and some of the most bizarre entertainment on earth.

Punters should prepare for a full-blown Hamstravaganza – a chaotic celebration of the weird, the wacky, and the wonderful! At the centre of it all are the electric, battery-powered hamsters, dashing across the track in a race that has captivated crowds at the famous Maui Waui Festival. Only one thing is certain – these little critters will keep the audience on the edge of their seats, slipping, sliding, and racing to glory.

The enigmatic Hamster Adam will be hosting the night, known for his wild charisma and the invention of the “imaginary hamster.” The musical line-up is equally eclectic, Featuring Aartwork, the psychedelic ceilidh band bringing a high-energy blend of magical folk fusion, alongside an incredible roster of East Anglia’s most daring DJs. Expect electrifying sets from Niki D, DJ Syco, Webby Allstar, Sir Sprout, Tree, Skins, URB, Bumble, Old Soul, and Loki – each ready to keep the crowd moving with everything from bass-heavy beats to feel-good rhythms.

The night will also feature a raffle packed with quirky prizes, adding to the surreal and exciting atmosphere.
