Ministry of Sound revives legendary trance night The Gallery after 10-year absence

The Gallery at Ministry of Sound

Ministry of Sound has announced the launch of From The Archives, a new event series celebrating the club’s most influential heritage brands, kicking off with the return of legendary trance night The Gallery on Saturday 29 November. The iconic night will make its comeback after a decade-long hiatus, running from 1pm to 9pm with a lineup featuring Mauro Picotto, Sander Van Doorn, Simon Patterson, Tall Paul, Seb Fontaine and Ashley Wallbridge.

The Gallery holds a special place in UK dance music history, having been founded in 1995 by Tall Paul at London’s Turnmills nightclub. Following Turnmills’ closure, The Gallery relocated to Ministry of Sound where it ran weekly events for over a decade, becoming a spiritual home for trance enthusiasts and playing a pivotal role in shaping the UK’s electronic music landscape. The revival comes at a time when trance is experiencing a global resurgence, making the timing particularly significant for both long-time fans and a new generation of clubbers.

Tickets for the day-into-night party are available now, with the event promising to showcase the deep, lush sounds that defined different eras of trance music. Each artist on the lineup brings their own perspective from different chapters of The Gallery’s storied past, ensuring a comprehensive journey through the night’s rich musical heritage.

The Gallery was renowned for its deep connection to the global trance scene and its ability to showcase both legendary pioneers and emerging talent in house and trance music. The rare revival invites clubbers old and new to rediscover the sounds and atmosphere that shaped generations of dance music lovers, recreating the experience that made The Gallery a cornerstone of UK club culture.

From The Archives represents Ministry of Sound’s ongoing commitment to celebrating the roots of various electronic music sub-scenes. The series aims to honour the legacy of the club’s most recognisable brands while attracting both devoted loyalists and curious newcomers keen to experience these influential nights firsthand.

Following The Gallery’s debut event, the From The Archives series will continue with more legendary revivals throughout 2026. These include Rulin’, the pioneering house Saturday night that launched at Ministry of Sound in 1994 and was instrumental in championing American house music in the UK, and Frisky, another significant night from the venue’s history.
