Over the last decade or so, we have seen a rise in American artists dominating the charts, leaving little room for British artists to shine on a global scale. 2025 has been different so far, allowing stars to continue dominating or even emerge on a global scale, increasing the popularity of UK-based musicians. It’s undeniable that the return of Oasis has helped the UK music scene to be back in the spotlight globally; however, plenty of other UK artists have ventured into the worldwide charts, so today, we will be taking a look at the top British artists of 2025.

Much like the variety found across different genres of music, the digital entertainment world – whether streaming platforms or an online casino – offers its own unique styles and themes that appeal to broad audiences across the UK and beyond.

Ed Sheeran

A list of the top British artists wouldn’t be complete without the inclusion of one of the most successful to have been produced by the nation, Ed Sheeran. The iconic singer and songwriter has dominated charts worldwide for over a decade, and in 2025, has shown no sign of slowing down. In 2025, Sheeran announced and released his latest album, ‘Play’, while continuing his worldwide ‘+-=÷× Tour’ that began in 2022. Releases such as Azizam and Sapphire stormed charts around the world, featuring on his new album, which will be showcased on his 2026’ Loop Tour’. His influence in 2025 has been strong and looks to continue for many years to come.

Sam Fender

Ever since 2021, Sam Fender has managed to get better and better, outshining his Seventeen Going Under album that introduced his name to many. But somehow, in 2025, the three time Brit Award winner has managed to elevate his career even further by releasing one of the biggest-selling albums in the UK, helping to project his music around the world. The album has allowed him to travel internationally and perform in front of fans worldwide. The Newcastle-born singer picked up his first ever Mercury Prize in 2025 for his album ‘People Watching’, beating the likes of Fontaines D.C, Pulp and PinkPantheress.

Charli XCX

2024 was a year to remember for Charli XCX, changing the music industry as a result of her album ‘brat’, introducing a whole new culture worldwide, as well as dominating social media trends with ‘brat summer’ trending for months. This success was carried through into 2025, winning her first Grammy award, on a night where she took home a total of three. She also claimed four Brit Awards, all the while she would continue her ‘Brat Tour’. Performances at Coachella further emphasise her global dominance, making her one of the top British artists of 2025.

Central Cee

Adopting a different genre, Central Cee is one of the primary reasons that UK rap and Drill have become a global success, drawing people from around the world to explore the genre. Although he has been in the international spotlight for many years, Cench made 2025 special with the release of his ‘Can’t Rush Greatness’ album, which instantly charted at number 1 in the UK. The album featured collaborations with some other massive artists, including Skepta, Dave, Lil Baby, Lil Durk, and 21 Savage. The ‘Can’t Rush Greatness’ tour also commenced in 2025, only inspiring his music to go viral on social media, helping to win him the MOBO for Best Male Act.

Olivia Dean

Olivia Dean is an example of a British artist who made 2025 their year, rising to fame and becoming one of the biggest names in music. Her success started with the release of her single ‘Nice to Each Other’, followed by ‘Rein Me In’ featuring previously mentioned Sam Fender. Opening shows with Fender at the start of the year helped to create hype around the artist, especially suspension for her album ‘The Art of Loving’ in September. The album was massively successful, with the single ‘Man I Need’ hitting number 1 on the charts around the world and going viral on social media. Her quick rise to international fame continued as she became a support act for Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Short n’Sweet’ tour. With Dean’s latest tour being announced for 2026, there is bound to be more to come in the upcoming years.

Raye

The 2024 record breaker, Raye, has continued to make a global name for herself in 2025, after winning 6 Brit Awards in one night. She wasn’t able to break her own record this year, but picked up the award for the best R&B act, an award that she may lead the race for for the next few years. Her year got even better, with performances at both the Grammys and the Oscars spreading her name around the globe even further. She also released a few popular tracks, such as ‘Born Again’ featuring Lisa and Doja Cat, ‘Suzanne’ and ‘Where is My Husband!’. To end the year, Raye has announced her big 2026 plans of a tour and second studio album release, setting her up for an even more successful year.
