Napalm Death have ‘self-confirmed’ they will be at Boomtown Fair this summer in tour listings posted to their website.

The website claims they will play at Boomtown Fair on Thursday 8th August 2019.

The band will then play festival slots on mainland Europe on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Napalm Death appeared at Glastonbury’s Shangri-La back in 2017, and played at Download Festival last summer. They were due to appear at Boomtown last year but had to pull out due to a rescheduled US tour.

The leak was first spotted by Boomtown Source, which shared a link to the tour dates on social media early on Friday. About six hours later, the festival officially confirmed that Napalm Death will headline the Earache Factory.

Boomtown Fair introduced its rock and metal district, Dissorder Alley, for the first time last summer. Rap-metal icons Limp Bizkit headlined the festival’s Town Centre stage.

Boomtown are set to reveal their headliners on February 8th, and will then reveal a district line-up each week.

The line-up for Area 404, Boomtown’s new techno & electronic district, was unveiled before Christmas.

Meanwhile, Boomtown organisers have been asking for feedback on the idea of a completely meat-free Boomtown in 2020.

Boomtown’s landlord, Peveril Bruce, recently released this video exploring the festival site during its ‘build & break’ period.

Tickets for the festival are currently on sale, and volunteering applications are also open.

Day one ticket sales for Chapter 11 broke Boomtown records this year, despite selling out as early as February ahead of Chapter 10.

Updated: This story was updated after Boomtown officially confirmed the news to add that Napalm Death will headline the Earache Factory stage in the Dissorder Alley district. Boomtown Source has been credited with first spotting the leak. A video of Napalm Death at Glastonbury, tweeted by Earache Records, was added in place of a photo of Napalm Death at Download Festival.
