Co-op launch click and collect service at their festival shops

Leeds Festival Co-op

Co-op is set to provide festivalgoers with the ultimate convenient shopping experience as it introduces a click-and-collect service at a number of its festival shops this summer.

The UK’s leading convenience retailer is launching a new shopping service at three of its popular onsite stores – Isle of Wight Festival, Latitude Festival and Kendal Calling Festival – enabling revellers to place an order up to six weeks in advance of the event and collect at an allotted time during the festival.

More than 200 lines can be pre-ordered from Co-op’s online click-and-collect website, including festival essentials, fresh food, beers, wines, food-to-go products and drinks. Co-op’s ethical ranges, including Fairtrade lines, 100 percent fresh British meat ranges, plant-based products and its own-brand water that supports clean water projects in Africa will also be available to purchase.

Amanda Jennings, director of marketing live and local at Co-op, said: “Since opening our first pop-up festival store in 2018, we’ve evolved our offering each year and this new click-and-collect service is another innovative way to serve the needs of these unique festival communities.

“The click and collect launch at the festivals is taking Co-op convenience to the next level and will enable festival-goers to plan ahead and enhance their experience even more so.”

Customers that use the click-and-collect service will be able to select a time to pick up their shopping between 09:00 to 18:00 on Thursday and Friday of the festival weekend. Collections will be made from a bespoke pick-up point at the side of the main festival store.

Jennings continued: “Co-op is well and truly established on the festival circuit now and we’ve become an integral part of the weekend experience, with revellers visiting our on-site stores morning, noon and night to keep stocked up.”

This year will see Co-op’s largest presence on the summer music festival circuit, with the convenience retailer attending total of nine festivals, including Glastonbury Festival, six Live Nation festivals, Kendal Calling and Belladrum Festival in Scotland.

The click-and-collect service has gone live for Isle of Wight Festival, followed by Latitude Festival on Wednesday 8th June 2022 and Kendal Calling on Wednesday 15th June 2022.
