Cursus Festival – the beloved intimate Dorset festival that’s gained cult status among serious festival-goers – is returning for its eleventh year on the May bank holiday weekend, May 22-24, 2026.
This year’s line-up is seriously impressive for a festival that only sells 500 tickets. Headliners Peat & Diesel, Land Of The Giants and Black Water County are joined by The Hempolics, Skimmity Hitchers, RuMac and Samantics, plus top local acts Pronghorn and Typical Girls. It’s the kind of lineup that punches well above the festival’s intimate size.
Located at Myncen Farm in the beautiful surroundings of Cranborne Chase, Cursus has built its reputation as an inclusive, grassroots event that welcomes festival first-timers and veterans alike. It’s family-friendly, and crucially, it’s one of the few proper music festivals that allows dogs on site – so your furry friends are welcome.
Adult weekend tickets start at just £109, with the first two children going free, making it genuinely accessible. According to festival organiser Kev Davis, 2026 tickets are selling well and previous years have sold out in advance, so early booking is strongly recommended if you don’t want to miss out.
Beyond the music, Cursus offers a diverse festival experience. There’s a dedicated DIY Den activity area for kids to make friends and explore different skills, a DJ tent, rural craft demonstrations, a campfire and farm tours. Both tent campers and live-in vehicles are welcome, so you’ve got flexibility in how you camp.
