Lido Festival powered by SumUp has announced Bombay Bicycle Club as headliner for Sunday 14 June 2026 at Lido Field, Victoria Park, London. The North London indie band will deliver a special one-off show, performing their debut album I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose in full in the evening, preceded by follow-up Flaws in the afternoon. Tickets go on general sale Friday 30 January 2026 at 10am via lidofestival.co.uk.

The announcement celebrates 20 years since the band’s formation with two full album sets in their hometown park. “We had such a great time last summer playing in Victoria Park that when we were asked to come back to headline Lido, we jumped at the chance,” the band said. They added: “These are such important albums to us and the place they both hold in our fans’ hearts has always meant the lot to us.”

Joining Bombay Bicycle Club are special guests Metronomy for their first UK show in three years and only live performance of 2026. Alice Phoebe Lou, Billie Marten and Lucy Rose complete the announced bill so far, with the full lineup to be revealed later. Originally released in 2009, I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose introduced the band as a frenetic young London outfit. Its 2010 follow-up Flaws brought reflective acoustic vibes. Both albums shaped Bombay Bicycle Club’s experimental career, from number one records and Mercury Prize nods to collaborations with Damon Albarn and Chaka Khan.

Metronomy bring electro-indie energy, fresh off their first Greatest Hits album with BBC live recordings. Alice Phoebe Lou debuts her new album Paper Castles, blending electronic soul and psychedelic folk. Billie Marten, BBC Sound of 2016 nominee, follows her recent Drop Cherries. Lucy Rose, known for backing vocals on Flaws, makes her Lido debut.

Lido Festival runs 12-14 June 2026, with CMAT headlining Friday 12 June and Maribou State on Saturday 13 June. Launched in 2025, it featured Massive Attack, Jamie xx, Charli XCX and London Grammar. The artist-led event emphasises sustainability, earning The Festival Award at ZYN Rolling Stone UK Awards 2025 and LIVE Green Award.

Lido’s green credentials include a 3MWh solar-charged battery powering the main stage, hydrogen tech, sustainable food and zero landfill waste. It achieved 32 hours of 100% battery operation and AGF Certification.
