A decade after Sir Elton John sat down at St. Pancras International and left his Yamaha piano as a gift, the station and TikTok are closing the month with one last twist. The third and final Live at St. Pancras performance is tomorrow, Thursday 29 October. A rising pianist picked through a nationwide TikTok LIVE search will take the keys, then be joined by a major music star whose name stays secret until they step up to the piano.
Two creators have already played. Keyboard Kelly opened the run on 14 October, with the set broadcast on TikTok LIVE. 1Guy1Piano followed. Aged 19, he started piano at seven, is now studying music at university, and has used TikTok LIVE to build an audience and pick up industry opportunities. The final performer has not been named.
St. Pancras has become a place for unexpected musical moments. Its pianos have hosted Alicia Keys, John Legend and Sir Elton John. He surprised passengers there in February 2016, promoting Wonderful Crazy Night, then signed the Yamaha he left behind: “Enjoy this piano. It’s a gift. Love, Elton John.”
Pianists from across the UK submitted performances on TikTok LIVE for a chance to be selected. For one of them, the booking goes further. A major artist will appear without warning and play alongside them. That moment will be broadcast on TikTok LIVE and cut into short form content. The guest’s identity stays under wraps until the performance itself.
Peter Martin-Jones, Head of Marketing at St. Pancras International, said some of the biggest careers in music now begin with someone discovering a song on social media. “With Live at St. Pancras, we want to amplify that moment of discovery on a real-world stage, giving rising musicians the chance to perform in front of new audiences.”
“Our pianos have become part of the heart and soul of St. Pancras International. For more than a decade they have created extraordinary moments between musicians and the people passing through the station.”
He added: “Ten years after Elton John created one of the most memorable moments in St. Pancras’ history, we’re spotlighting a new generation of musicians, helping to kickstart their careers and giving them the opportunity to make their own mark on the station’s musical legacy.”
William Pimenta, Head of LIVE Music and Gaming Operations, UK, said TikTok LIVE is home to musicians building audiences in real time. “We’re thrilled to partner with St. Pancras International to bring that creativity beyond the screen, giving rising pianists the opportunity to perform at one of London’s most iconic landmarks.”
The tie-up lands as TikTok keeps shaping how music is found. This summer, Kyla’s 2008 track ‘Do You Mind’ picked up a new generation of fans on the app, passing 543 million video views in the UK and returning to the Official Singles Chart. TikTok LIVE hosted more than three million live music sessions across Europe in the first four months of 2026, and nearly one million posts used #ClassicalMusic. Earlier this year the platform also partnered with pianist Lang Lang to spotlight emerging players and connect them with audiences.
Updates, and the final broadcast, will be posted by @tiktoklive_uk and @stpancras_highspeed.
