New analysis from ticket experts at SeatPick reveals that accommodation prices within half a mile of Wembley Stadium have surged past the £1,000 mark for several dates. On average, the cost of a room on a concert night has hit £932, representing a markup of £546.85—or 141%—compared to non-concert nights.
The data indicates that local accommodation prices have jumped by more than nine times their standard rate for the dates Harry Styles is set to perform. To put the inflation into perspective, the average monthly rent in the local area is currently £1,971. This means staying just two nights in a hotel during the residency could cost more than renting a local apartment for an entire month.
The most expensive night for fans is currently Wednesday, 17th June, where local accommodation is averaging £1,126.83. Conversely, the ‘cheapest’ night identified is Friday, 26th June, though even this averages £564.44. Some fans have been so desperate to secure lodging that they booked rooms before even purchasing tickets, as seen in social media posts.
Gilad Zilberman, CEO at ticket platform SeatPick, commented on the findings: “Our analysis uncovered an enormous markup for local accommodation on nights that Harry Styles is performing at Wembley Stadium. Being aware of these accommodation costs and additional expenses can help fans avoid being caught off guard by inflated prices on concert nights.”
For fans priced out of the immediate Wembley Park area, experts suggest looking further afield. Zilberman advises: “If you can’t afford a local hotel, I’d consider looking further outside of Wembley Park. Extending your search to surrounding areas like Ealing and Brent Cross can reveal more affordable options at a lower cost. The transport links from Wembley Stadium are fantastic, with the Jubilee and Metropolitan lines a short walk from the venue.”
Regarding the infamous post-gig crowds at Wembley Park station, savvy planning can mitigate the stress of staying further away. Leaving the venue just 20 minutes after the concert ends, or conversely, leaving as the last song begins, can make a significant difference in queue times for the tube.
