The Maccabees have been announced as the headliners for the Saturday instalment of On The Beach in Brighton, bringing a stacked supporting line-up of British indie talent. Taking to the iconic seafront stage on Saturday, 25th July 2026, the band will be joined by Editors, Miles Kane, Anna Calvi, Ash, Badly Drawn Boy, and hometown heroes Lime Garden.
The headline slot marks a full-circle moment for The Maccabees, who spent their formative years in Brighton before making a triumphant return to the stage at All Points East and Glastonbury in 2025. With five of the seven On The Beach events already sold out—including dates for Fatboy Slim, Madness, and Moby—this will be one of the last chances for fans to experience the seafront festival this summer.
Over 70% of tickets for the Saturday show have already been snapped up. Fans looking to secure their spot at the gig can sign up for the priority pre-sale now, which will go live on Tuesday, 31st March at 11am. The remaining general admission tickets will then go on sale the following day, Wednesday, 1st April at 11am, via the official On The Beach website.
Reflecting on the upcoming show, The Maccabees said: “When we were first starting out in Brighton, we did not imagine that 20 years on we would be headlining Brighton Beach. It is a very special thing for us to be doing this show outdoors on Brighton Beach and we intend to make this the best Maccabees show ever. Even better than the one at Concorde 2 that got us banned because fans were hanging from the ceiling. You will do well to hang from the ceiling at Brighton Beach.”

The supporting bill is packed with defining acts of the British alternative scene. Editors bring their catalogue of constant reinvention, while Miles Kane arrives off the back of his recent album, Sunlight In The Shadows. Anna Calvi will deliver her acclaimed and dramatic live performance, while Ash brings their enduring high-energy rock. The day is rounded out by a rare festival appearance from acoustic heavyweight Badly Drawn Boy and an opening set from Brighton’s own rapidly rising post-punk act, Lime Garden.
Now entering its sixth year, On The Beach has cemented itself as a defining part of Brighton’s summer calendar since launching in 2021. The seafront festival has previously hosted sold-out crowds for dance titans like Carl Cox, Bicep, and Eric Prydz, as well as rock heavyweights including Royal Blood, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, and The Libertines.
