London is getting its first dedicated Brazilian music festival this May Bank Holiday, as The Columbo Group has revealed the full line-up for Boa Nova Festival — taking place at Leyton Jubilee Park in east London on Friday, 22nd May 2026.
The inaugural edition will be headlined by three of Brazil’s most distinctive contemporary artists: João Gomes, Liniker and Mari Froes, appearing together on a single bill for what organisers are billing as a unique London event. The festival will span two stages, with A Música De Tim Maia and D. Vyzor among the names completing the main stage, alongside a very special guest still to be announced.
A second, dance-orientated stage — created in partnership with Baile Funk Culture — will showcase Caio Prince, Th4ys, Bronka, DJ Patife and Mango & Ginger, reflecting the electronic and funk strands of Brazil’s current music scene.
The organisers, who have previously run sold-out shows at London’s Jazz Cafe for the city’s Brazilian community, say this edition marks their most ambitious undertaking yet. “After years of sold-out shows at the Jazz Cafe for London’s Brazilian community, we’re excited to bring our most ambitious line-up yet to an outdoor celebration of Brazilian music this May Bank Holiday,” they said.
Boa Nova Festival is curated with the explicit aim of placing Brazilian music on equal footing with London’s established festival culture. Beyond the live performances, the event promises an immersive cultural programme including live samba drumming, Samba de Malandro, Carnival-inspired shows, Brazilian Axé and Brazilian Funk performances throughout the day.
The food offering will be equally rooted in Brazilian culture, with vendors including Aroma Grill and Broll Grill — both specialising in traditional Brazilian Churrasco — serving authentic dishes across the site. The event runs from 14:00 to 22:00, offering a full evening’s worth of music and culture.
Residents of Waltham Forest can access discounted tickets priced at £35, with a limited number of complimentary tickets also available via ballot. Boa Nova Festival is presented in collaboration with the UK/Brazil Season of Culture for 2025–26.
