ArcTanGent Festival has announced another major wave of acts for its 2026 edition, returning to Fernhill Farm near Bristol from 19-22 August.

Leading today’s additions are newly reformed Arcane Roots, back with their first new music in over seven years and set for a main stage appearance at ATG as part of a live-exclusive return that also includes 2000trees Festival. The band recently released the single ‘A Wave. Across The Sea’ and announced a signing to Big Scary Monsters.

Also joining the bill are Manchester experimental favourites Maruja, returning after appearing at ArcTanGent in 2024 as a brand new act, plus cinematic post-rock performers Nordic Giants, US shoegaze band Nothing, Faroese singer-songwriter Eivør (billed as a UK 2026 exclusive), Jamie Lenman, Master Boot Record, Pupil Slicer and Brazilian avant-garde metal outfit Papangu.

The festival says this year’s edition is already shifting quickly, with organiser James Scarlett describing ArcTanGent 2026 as “officially our best-selling edition of the festival by a country mile” while highlighting first-time bookings including Eivør, Nothing and Master Boot Record. He also pointed to artists returning on bigger slots, naming Maruja and Mass of the Fermenting Dregs as acts “not to be missed” after climbing the bill in recent years.

ArcTanGent 2026 will again lean into its trademark mix of rock, metal, doom, psych, math rock, post-rock, folk rock and avant-garde sounds across the weekend at Fernhill Farm, with the latest announcement dated 29 January.

Today’s names land on an already packed line-up featuring main stage headliners Chelsea Wolfe, Primus, and Cult of Luna & Julie Christmas performing ‘Mariner’, alongside Igorrr, Sikth, Napalm Death, Perturbator, High On Fire, Chat Pile, Alcest, Oathbreaker, Agent Fresco, TTNG, Svalbard, Conjurer, Heck, Alpha Male Tea Party and more.
