Big Feastival, proudly presented by M&S Food, will open its gates four weeks today for the ultimate celebration of music, food, and family fun from 23-25 August. Now in its 13th year the bank holiday spectacle, hosted at Blur bassist, Alex James’ farm, is renowned for delivering the perfect combination of incredible live music, acclaimed chefs and award-winning food as well as an unparalleled programme of family entertainment. Becky Hill will get the party going with a headline performance on Friday night. As one of the UK’s most successful musicians, she has won two BRIT Awards and released countless hit singles including Wish You Well with Sigala, Crazy What Love Can Do with David Guetta and Ella Henderson and Disconnect with Chase & Status. Ministry of Sound Classical will bring the greatest dance compilation of all-time to headline the Main Stage on Saturday night with a 30-piece orchestra and guest vocalists. Snow Patrol will bring the festival to an anthemic close on Sunday night. The band broke through to the mainstream in 2007 with number one album Eyes Open which was the biggest selling UK album that year, it featured the massive single Chasing Cars which was the most played song of the 21st Century on UK Radio. The band have gone on to release a further four top five albums which have produced multiple top 20 singles and will hope the upcoming The Forest Is The Path, out in September will bring even more success.
The music line-up continues with Johnny Marr, the legendary guitarist and songwriter who needs no introduction, English multi-instrumentalist, record producer, songwriter and DJ, Jax Jones, Circa Waves, known for their anthemic indie-rock sound, triple Brit Award nominee and singer songwriter Cat Burns, Irish singer songwriter Cian Ducrot, vocal powerhouse Ella Henderson, dance superstar Joel Corry, Natasha Bedingfield with her mass singalong hits Unwritten and These Words, Kate Nash who will thrill the crowd with Foundations amongst other iconic hits, Irish singer songwriter and BRIT nominee CMAT, Irish rockers Ash and Indie heroes Scouting For Girls.
Festival favourites, the risqué musical comedy troupe The Cuban Brothers will also return to get the crowd going along with supergroup 86TVs comprised of former members of The Maccabees, Nell Mescal whose unique blend of folk, pop, and indie influences promises to enchant festival-goers, Welsh punk quintet, Panic Shack, R&B performer Jalen Ngonda, Newcastle singer-songwriter Ernie and upcoming Irish four piece The Florentinas to complete the Main Stage line-up.
Joining the line-up is Eastenders star, Shaun Williamson with Barrioke, which has taken the festival scene by storm with his sing-along anthems, non-stop Taylor Swift celebration, Swiftogeddon and primary school throwback and Glastonbury 2024 viral-sensation, Assembly Bangers.
In addition to the star-studded musical line-up, Big Feastival will also showcase the culinary talents of some of the world’s most renowned chefs. Prepare to be dazzled by the culinary wizardry of Raymond Blanc, whose innovative approach to French cuisine has earned him international acclaim and seen him hold a Michelin star for the past 40 years. The dynamic duo of Andi & Miquita Oliver are also set to showcase their delectable food and drinks. Simon Rogan will also be showcasing the splendours of hyperlocal and seasonal produce. From mouth-watering dishes to culinary demonstrations and interactive experiences, Big Feastival’s food line-up promises to be a feast for all.
The chef entertainment continues with Feastival-favourites DJ BBQ & Chris ‘Chops’ Taylor, ‘Bake Off: The Professional’ judge Cherish Finden, Michelin-trained chef and self-proclaimed Potato Queen Poppy O’Toole, curing & smoking guru Steven Lamb, social media recipe sensation Fitwaffle, snack-hacker George Egg, award-winning food writer and presenter Georgina Hayden, wine expert Hannah Crosbie, Cornish hero Jack Stein, plant-based and eco-conscious chef Max La Manna, recipe developer and food content creator Meliz Berg and cook and food writer Sophie Wyburd. Taming the coals at The Fire Pit, will be the likes of chicken-wing specialist Jack Blumenthal, culinary powerhouse Sally Abé and Welsh open-fire cooking expert Nathan Davies.
This year’s Big Feastival main stage will be graced by an exceptional trio of hosts: Kemi Rodgers, Edith Bowman, and Laura Whitmore. Kemi Rodgers brings her vibrant energy making her a perfect fit for the lively atmosphere on Friday, Edith Bowman, a renowned broadcaster with a wealth of experience, will add her signature charm to Saturday and presenter, podcaster and author Laura Whitmore who will return for hosting duties on Sunday.
Big Feastival is also proud to present a diverse array of family entertainment and attractions to delight attendees of all ages. Children’s TV Megastar Justin Fletcher will return for his Feastival staple set. Channel 4’s smash hit show, Taskmaster will host its brand-new educational club for kids, encouraging them to develop their teamwork and problem-solving skills. The BAFTA-winning Bluey & Bingo will be visiting the farm along with Dinomania, the UK’s most interactive dinosaur show. There will also be special creative workshops and performances from the renowned theatre practitioners, Royal Shakespeare Company. New for 2024 to keep the family entertained is the Roller Disco, with free sessions running all weekend.
The Cheese Hub at this year’s Big Feastival will host an exciting lineup of DJ sets featuring a blend of legendary and contemporary artists. The line-up includes DJ Spoony, a key figure in the UK garage scene, Jeremy Healy, a renowned DJ and music producer, Judge Jules who is known for his energetic sets and successful radio shows that have captivated audiences globally, Simon Pegg, the acclaimed actor and comedian will showcase his DJ skills, Woody Cook, the son of famous DJs Fatboy Slim and Zoe Ball, is making his mark with eclectic sets that blend various genres. Also joining them are Arielle Free, Lisa Loud and DJ BBQ.
Side-splitting comedy sets from Mock The Week’s Rhys James, stand-up comedian and presenter Zoe Lyons, and Britain’s Got Talent finalist Daliso Chaponda will feature at The Exchange stage, alongside live editions of some of the nation’s best-loved podcasts throughout the weekend. James & Clair Buckley will take audiences through the joys and challenges of navigating marriage. The hilarious duo Ellie Gibson and Helen Thorn, otherwise known as the award-winning podcasters, authors and comedy performers The Scummy Mummies, will also take to the stage to share their candid insights into the world of motherhood.
Families are in for a treat with a plethora of activities including Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park, giving kids the opportunity to meet their favourite furry animals up close, thrilling circus school workshops, enchanting theatre shows, Draw Along with Rob Biddulph who will bring his award-winning picture books to life and the ever-popular Family Raves. Let your imagination run wild at Silly Science exhibits or explore Lizzie’s Way Wild Play.
New for 2024 is the addition of Wild Woodland Spa, a space to unwind and relax during the festival. Guests can expect wood fired hot tubs, wooden panel steam saunas and cold plunge tanks. Another addition is this year’s dining experience by Fools Delight, a combination of fabulous food with stellar circus. Fools Delight was curated in 2022 by Lil Rice, Sam Goodburn and Dave Cross. The dining experience has received critical acclaim, featuring on The Times UK’s 2023 list of best places to eat.
