Boomtown has launched ‘Boomtown Unboxed’, a world-first initiative that has delivered unique, hyper-personalised video souvenirs to every single person who attended its 2025 event. Just a week after the festival’s conclusion, all 76,986 attendees received their own cinematic film recapturing their unique journey through the festival.
The project, a collaboration with live-event tech experts Amplify and creative architects Monks, uses on-site data from real visitor behaviour, fusing it with AI-enriched storytelling to create individual stories on a mass scale. The initiative sets a new benchmark for post-event engagement, moving beyond a standard highlights reel to a personal digital keepsake for every fan.
This technological innovation follows the conclusion of Boomtown Chapter 4: Power of Now, which saw performances from hundreds of acts including Sean Paul, Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter, Nia Archives, Overmono, and Honey Dijon in the South Downs National Park.
Chris Rutherford, Co-founder of Boomtown, described the project as a way for attendees to take the festival’s magic home. “Unboxed is a true world-first… It’s your adventure, your memories, your Boomtown story and just like bringing home a holiday keepsake, it’s captured so you can relive it again and again.”
Following the success of this year’s event, the festival has also confirmed dates for 2026, with tickets on sale now for the event taking place from 12th – 16th August 2026.

The sun has barely set on Boomtown 2025 and already, 76,986 festival-goers have received something never before seen in live events. Boomtown Unboxed is a dynamic and future-forward conclusion to Chapter 4: Power of Now with tens of thousands of cinematic, hyper-personalised video stories arriving as digital souvenirs to Boomtown’s attendees.
This year’s Boomtown unfolded as a vivid collision of sound and spirit, where global legends met underground innovators across an unforgettable spectrum of music. Sean Paul, Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter, Nia Archives, Overmono, Spice, Fat Dog, Maribou State, Boney M, Eliza Rose, Nova Twins, Honey Dijon, The Mary Wallopers, Lady Leshurr, The Wurzels and My Nu Leng (final set) were among hundreds of live acts and DJ’s to perform in the South Downs National Park. For the first year of their partnership, BBC Radio 1 Dance took over the new The Lion’s Gate stage Friday, with exclusive live sets and backstage interviews on Charlie Tee’s Drum and Bass show. An immersive festival like no other, Boomtown weaved a vibrant musical tapestry alongside groundbreaking storytelling and a daring creative vision.
It’s no surprise then that Boomtown, working with live-event tech experts Amplify and data-driven creative architects Monks, has launched Boomtown Unboxed, a world-first experience transforming festival memories into personal video souvenirs where individual storytelling is built from real visitor behaviour and lived moments, delivered to each attendee via the Boomtown app only a week after the festival hosted its grand Opening Ceremonies.

This is not a highlight reel. It’s 76,986 individual stories, a hyper-personalised digital recapturing of each and every attendee’s unique Boomtown journey.
The initiative captures on-site data from actual experiences and fuses it with AI-enriched storytelling and modular content technology, redefining post-event engagement at scale. The result: 76,986 completely unique, cinematic video recaps delivered to festival goers within hours of the event closing — setting a new benchmark for how brands can turn real-world moments into lasting digital connections that drive retention, loyalty, conversion, and cultural impact.
Boomtown Unboxed is a breakthrough for the festival and events industries, showcasing how AI can elevate brand storytelling and deliver tailored, on-brand content to individual audience members at scale. This allows Boomtown to forge deeper, longer-lasting connections with their authenticity-craving community, building loyalty and brand affinity in ways that extend far beyond the festival gates. This echoes the festival’s Power Of Now sentiment so prevalent in this year’s edition and amongst the Citizens who graced the festival fields over five days.
Boomtown Unboxed is soundtracked by the second installment of the Opening Ceremony track, performed by Grove and Rea & Zoro featuring Eva Lazarus and Kreed & Roska – a high-energy collaboration carrying the atmosphere of the festival’s theatrical spirit into these unique souvenirs.
Chris Rutherford, Co-founder of Boomtown, said: “Boomtown has always been full of magic – music, art, characters, and those little moments you stumble across that stay with you forever. This year, for the first time ever, you can take that magic home in your own personal film, made just for you. Unboxed is a true world-first, dreamt up and delivered by an incredibly talented and dedicated team. It’s your adventure, your memories, your Boomtown story and just like bringing home a holiday keepsake, it’s captured so you can relive it again and again. Partnering with Amplify and Monks has allowed us to match Boomtown’s creative ambition with the kind of technical capability that makes a world-first possible. They’ve helped us take the spirit of the festival — the moments, the atmosphere, the community — and turn it into something every individual can take away and relive in their own way.”

Joppe Soons, Project Creative Director at Monks said: “Boomtown Unboxed is where brand storytelling is heading: hyper-personalised, shaped by lived experiences and brought to life in real time. By turning one of the most data-rich festivals into unique visitor narratives within hours, we enable Boomtown to turn mass attendance into individually curated relationships. This is the end of the standard event aftermovie – no more scanning the crowd for a glimpse of yourself; now the whole film is about you.”
Sebastien Westerduin, CEO of Amplify, said: “Boomtown has always led on creativity and immersive experience — and now, with Amplify’s ‘Event OS’, they’re driving technological innovation too. From day one, they’ve pushed boundaries with us, showing what’s possible when creative vision meets AI-ready infrastructure, data, and a hugely diverse, engaged community. We’re thrilled by what’s unfolding — and even more excited about what’s next.”
