Over three weekends this Summer (23rd – 26th July, 30th July – 2nd August and 6th – 9th August) the team behind the award winning Shambala Festival will be turning their beautiful site in Kelmarsh, Northamptonshire, into the ultimate camping retreat.
Activities & Music
This is a chance to gently emerge from social hibernation and rekindle those friendships and connections with close friends and family, round the campfire. Campers can enjoy activities from painting to paddleboarding, forest school sessions, yoga classes, a pub quiz and even a crazy golf course.
Each afternoon and evening, a different world-class musician or band from Camp Kin’s top-secret lineup will take to the stage, treating campers to an intimate live performance.
Food & Drink
As with Shambala Festival, Camp Kin will be a meat-free affair, with a handful of exceptional food serving up a dazzling array of hearty, colourful and delicious all-vegetarian fare. Should those morning bacon sarnies be a deal-breaker, campers are of course welcome to bring along their own meat to cook on their camping pitch. The infamous Shambala crew bar – a converted bus – will be serving up delicious cocktails (hello, happy hour!) alongside quality wines, spirits and locally sourced ales and ciders. Camp Kin will be a cashless event, using RFID cashless wristbands that can be topped up either in advance, or at the onsite top up stations.
Covid-19
Each weekend is fully designed to work in a socially distanced capacity, meaning that if all current Covid restrictions are not lifted by the proposed roadmap date, Camp Kin is still good to go. Should the country ‘unlock’ by this time, restrictions can be relaxed on site – however if for whatever reason our attendees would like to keep things socially distanced and within their ‘bubble’, the site is set up to facilitate this.
Pitches & Accommodation
Each group chooses their own designated pitch, whether they’re bringing their own tents and campervans/caravans along, or treating themselves to a bit of luxury in a pre-pitched tipi, yurt or bell tent. The pre-pitched glamping options even come with your own dedicated loo on pitch!
Adult tickets cost £99, kids tickets cost £35 (with under 5s going free). Bring your own tent pitches start at £35, campervan pitches are priced at £50.
