Maui Waui have announced their first wave of acts for their 2024 Maui Festival, and to be honest, I’m pretty damn impressed.
Last year, this Norfolk-based festival enthralled us with its lively atmosphere and fantastic selection of bands, DJs and performers, and if today’s lineup announcements are anything to go on, 2024 might well be even better.
Topping the bill is the infamous Dutty Moonshine Big Band, the Bristol group whose take on electro-swing is the defacto soundtrack to much of the UK festival scene. It seems they, along with the returning Talulah Goodtimes, will take Maui Waui back to its swinging roots.

Other acts coming back from previous years include alien space rockers Henge, the UK dub legends Dreadzone, the fantastic overwhelming folk experience that is the Old Time Sailors, not to mention the fabulous Maui house band, The Mighty Flux.
The rest of the performers confirmed in this wave include Onipa, Plump DJs, The Egg, Mefisto Brass, The Great Malarky, Dub Pistols B2B Freestylers, NoGood Boyo, Dumbfoundus, Bedwell, After Hours, Seas of Mirth, Punch The Sky and the East Angles Brassband.
Set in a patch of beautiful dappled woodland, and spread over ten or more stages, Maui Waui offers something for all the family, with an extensive set of activities for kids of all ages, and a bar serving a wide variety of local beer and cider.
Offering facilities for camping, as well as plenty of food vendors, Maui is a weekend that shouldn’t be missed.
Maui Festival will take place between 23 and 25 August at Bullards Farm near Dereham, Norfolk.
