Electronic music icons Empire of the Sun have announced a massive headline show at London’s Alexandra Palace for Saturday 27th June 2026. This marks the duo’s first-ever appearance at the iconic venue and is set to be their largest UK headline performance to date.
The date lands on what would traditionally be Glastonbury weekend. With the festival taking a fallow year in 2026, the band is positioning the event as an “ultimate live music fix” for fans missing out on Worthy Farm. Organisers promise a spellbinding evening featuring the band’s signature anthemic soundscapes and extraordinary visual artistry.
Fans hoping to secure their spot at the “Ally Pally” debut can access pre-sale tickets starting Thursday 29th January at 9am GMT by signing up via the official mailing list. All remaining tickets will go on general sale the following day, Friday 30th January, at 10am GMT.
The announcement comes following the immediate sell-out of the band’s show at Labyrinth on the Thames, suggesting anticipation for their return to the capital is high. Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore will bring an immersive stage production crafted specifically for the Grade II-listed venue, transforming the space into an otherworldly realm of light and sound.
The performance will showcase material from their recently released album, Ask That God, alongside hits from a back catalogue that has amassed over 7.6 billion streams worldwide. Attendees can expect to hear era-defining tracks such as “Walking on a Dream,” “We Are The People,” and “Alive.”
