EXIT’s World Tour goes to Montenegro with free beach festivals

EXIT Festival is taking its world-renowned Dance Arena experience to the Montenegrin coast this summer with two entirely free-to-attend festivals, EXIT to Montenegro, featuring a headline line-up that includes Charlotte de Witte, Peggy Gou, Hugel, Jamie Jones, Argy, Stephan Bodzin, Monolink, Maceo Plex and more.

The events form part of EXIT Festival’s World Tour 2026, with Montenegro’s Prime Minister Milojko Spajić previously stating that the project “is expected to generate more than 210,000 overnight stays and over €40 million in tourism revenue, positioning Montenegro as an epicentre of the global music scene this summer.” Both festivals are free to attend, but require prior registration at exit2montenegro.me.

The first weekend, the Long Beach Edition, takes place at Velika Plaža in Ulcinj from 3 to 6 July, with warm-up events running from 1 to 3 July. Stretching over 13 kilometres, Long Beach is one of the longest sandy beaches in Europe and a popular kitesurfing destination. The programme is built around a stripped-back philosophy, with organisers operating under the tagline “No LED, no SFX, no BS! Just pure music, sunsets, and sea.” Headlining this edition are Argy, Jamie Jones, Maceo Plex, Monolink, Stephan Bodzin and Awen.

The second weekend, the Sea Dance Edition, takes place at Bečići Beach in Budva, Montenegro’s tourism capital, from 28 to 31 August, with warm-up events from 24 to 27 August. This edition carries a more festival-scale production feel and is headlined by Charlotte de Witte, Peggy Gou, Hugel and Enrico Sangiuliano. Also performing is John Newman, who will debut his new live show at the event, with additional acts still to be announced.

Much of the programming draws on EXIT Festival’s celebrated Dance Arena, widely considered one of the world’s leading dancefloors. The Serbian festival, which has previously hosted the likes of Wu-Tang Clan, The Prodigy and Skrillex at the iconic Petrovaradin Fortress, is now extending its reach to the Adriatic with an open-air coastal format for the first time.

The Long Beach Edition is particularly notable for its commitment to environmental sensitivity. As one of the last undeveloped stretches of Mediterranean coastline, organisers say particular care will be taken to preserve the area’s natural ecosystem throughout the event.
