As the echoes of beats and laughter still linger, Fatboy Slim’s All Back to Minehead 2023 has wrapped up, leaving Butlin’s Minehead, in awe by three days of pure magic.
Over the course of the weekender, love, dancing, laughter and unusual amounts of fun were in abundance. Attendees were treated to the crème de la crème of dance music with sets from Fatboy Slim himself, along with world-class acts including ABSOLUTE., DJ Fat Tony, Jodie Harsh, Marshall Jefferson, Mella Dee, Solardo, and many more.
Oh My God! It’s The Church led the congregation with a spectacular performance, blending singing, dancing, and a party church service that left joyful sinners in awe. Joining the ranks were Jonny Rock, whose Balearic session on Saturday night was a four-hour jam set, and ‘Southern Fried Records’ stars Sam Girling & Van Damn, spinning anthems that kept the crowd grooving.

On Saturday Norman Cook AKA Fatboy Slim held a meet & greet and then took to the stage to answer a Q&A with Matt Everitt in front of a live audience. During this interview, he humorously recalled that the oddest item ever passed to him in a DJ booth was a potato amongst other anecdotes and stories from throughout his career.
Following the Q&A Fatboy Slim was surprised onstage and presented with four GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® for his contributions to music, and record-breaking industry recognitions throughout his career in front of an audience of hundreds of fans wearing matching t-shirts to celebrate the 25th anniversary of his album, You’ve Come a Long Way, Baby.
BBC Radio 1’s ‘Future Sounds’ host, Sarah Story, took charge of the Red’s stage on Saturday night, curating a lineup featuring bright up-and-coming DJs, including Joshua James b2b Bryony Masters, Ell Murphy, Kilimanjaro, and Myd. Sasha Gigi, Fat Tony, Woody Cook and Riva Starr hijacked Centre Stages while Jodie Harsh set the scene for the weekend as she energised the crowd before Fatboy Slim’s monumental headline set at Skyline. Adding to the weekend’s charm, the Saturday night unfolded in a ‘Sexy or Stupid’ theme, accompanied by various activities like a 70s disco dancing class, bingo, pool parties, silent discos, and music workshops.
On Sunday night’s crescendo at the Red Stage, Back to Mine presented a stellar lineup featuring Monaco, ABSOLUTE, Marshall Jefferson, Solardo, and a grand finale that left the crowd wanting more. During the day, Pizzaman, revealed as Fatboy Slim, surprised fans with an unforgettable DJ set at the pool party.
Amidst the music, fans got the chance to switch off in a harmonious fusion of wellness, introducing Rise and Shine Yoga. This year’s artist in residence, The London Police created an onsite live artwork takeover at the Centre Stage. Accompanying them was the British award-winning artist RYCA, who crafted live art T-shirts and acid-themed portraits. Festival-goers had the opportunity to purchase a limited edition Fatboy Slim Art Toy on Sunday, alongside an ‘Acid Drop’ featuring exclusive prints scattered around the festival for anyone to grab as well as the ‘Eat Sleep VR Repeat’ experience hailed by previous users as the best VR journey they had ever experienced.
