A social media update from within the industry appears to have revealed the first act for Glastonbury 2027, more than 18 months before the festival is due to take place.
TOMORA, a new collaborative project uniting Tom Rowlands of The Chemical Brothers with Norwegian art-pop star AURORA, has been listed for an appearance at Worthy Farm. The news emerged after eagle-eyed fans spotted a post on Universal Music Japan’s official Instagram account.
The post, which has widely circulated on social media thanks to a tip-off from Twitter user @pringlesshin to the highly regarded @TheGlastoThingy, explicitly states that an appearance at Glastonbury in 2027 has been “officially confirmed” for the duo. This follows the festival’s upcoming fallow year in 2026
According to the promotional text, the project is described as a collaboration that will “revolutionize conventional wisdom”. It is set to “take over dance floors around the world from 2026 onwards”.
The update also indicates that TOMORA has already been booked for Coachella 2026, alongside a string of headline shows and major festivals next year.
This “industry confirmation” offers a rare glimpse into the long-term booking strategy at Worthy Farm, where headliners are often secured years in advance.
While the line-up news is an early surprise, the festival’s schedule is now firmly set. Following a confirmed fallow year in 2026 to allow the land to recover, Glastonbury Festival will return in June 2027. The full Glastonbury 2027 line-up won’t be revealed until a few weeks before the event, but we can expect other annoucements much sooner.
The dates are confirmed as Wednesday 23rd – Sunday 27th June 2027. The recent ticket prize draw has closed, and the main ticket sale is expected to take place in late 2026.
Somerset Council’s recent scrutiny report hailed the 2025 festival as the “most successful to date” regarding traffic management. It cited a 25% saving on monitoring costs due to improved transport systems.
The report also references a new “members protocol” proposed for implementation at the 2027 event, reinforcing that operational planning is already well underway despite the year off.
