Toronto’s internet-famous indie outfit Good Kid have officially announced their highly anticipated debut studio album. Titled Can We Hang Out Sometime?, the LP is scheduled for release on 3rd April 2026. Known for blending J-rock riffs with the raw energy of pop-punk, the band has built a massive independent following, racking up over 700 million streams across their catalogue.
Alongside the album news, the band has revealed plans for their most extensive run of live shows to date. The tour will see them traversing North America throughout the spring before heading across the Atlantic for a series of UK and European dates in September 2026. Key stops on the UK leg include Manchester’s O2 Ritz, the 3Olympia in Dublin, and a headline performance at London’s iconic Roundhouse. Before the 2026 tour kicks off, the group is set to perform at the Streamer Awards in Los Angeles on December 6th alongside Ty Dolla $ign.
Fans looking to secure their spot at the upcoming shows can access artist presale tickets and VIP packages starting at 10:00am local time on Tuesday, 9th December. The general on-sale will follow shortly after at 10:00am local time on Thursday, 11th December for all markets.
The new record was produced in Los Angeles by Grammy-winner John Congleton, known for his work with St. Vincent, Wallows, and Lana Del Rey. It promises to deliver the band’s signature high-energy hooks while pushing into “grittier” territory. The announcement follows the release of a visualizer for their second single “Rift,” while their previous single “Wall” has already generated significant viral attention on TikTok.
Good Kid have carved out a unique space in the music industry by declaring themselves “the world’s most creator-friendly band,” making their entire discography Content ID-free and DMCA-free. This strategy has empowered creators on Twitch and YouTube to use their music without fear of copyright strikes, leading to features in videos by MrBeast and broadcasts for Valorant. “This record is the most unfiltered and uninhibited we’ve ever been,” the band said in a statement. “We made some risky choices, so now we have to own them.”
