Legendary electronic dance act Hot Chip has been announced for a main stage DJ set at Birmingham’s Mostly Jazz Funk & Soul Festival, taking place from Friday 10 to Sunday 12 July 2026. Their addition officially completes the festival’s main line-up for the summer weekender.
The beloved British group, who have spent the last two decades earning Mercury Prize and Grammy nominations, will bring their signature blend of strobe-lit euphoria and indie-disco mash-ups to Moseley Park on the Friday. They join a massive opening day that already includes drum and bass legends Fabio & Grooverider and The Outlook Orchestra, British R&B pioneers Soul II Soul, Goldie, and Nightmares On Wax.
With the full line-up now locked in, organisers have confirmed that tickets are selling out fast. Tier 3 tickets are strictly limited and will go back on sale from 10am on Friday 27 March 2026. Fans can secure their spot via the official mostlyjazz.co.uk website.
Also joining the bill in this latest announcement is highly-tipped songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Konyikeh, who will play on Friday after previously sharing stages with the likes of Sam Smith, Tems, and Dave. She is joined by BLACKSABBATHMODE, a unique collaboration between nu-jazz duo BIGHEADMODE and Plumm that captures the vitality of Black Sabbath’s legendary style through original compositions.
For the Friday Leftfoot Takeover Stage, DJs Mani Regan and Vipond have just been added to the roster. They’ll be joined by Molly Lou, who is set to close out the night with a euphoric blend of disco classics and soulful house.
The rest of the weekend boasts an impressive roster of world-class jazz, funk, and soul artists. Saturday will see performances from Jordan Rakei, reunited ’70s soul/funk Londoners Cymande, Sampa The Great, and Annie & The Caldwells. Sunday closes out the festival with US soul sensation Jalen Ngonda, Daptone’s Thee Sacred Souls, Australian artist Don West, and Mercury Prize 2025 shortlisted star Emma-Jean Thackray.
Set in the idyllic surroundings of Moseley Park, the annual three-day festival offers a unique escape just a short distance from Birmingham city centre. The sloping grounds create a natural amphitheatre down to a beautiful lake, making it the perfect backdrop for one of the UK’s premier genre-spanning festivals.
