A new daytime house music series in Jávea has sold out all three of its debut season events, drawing a growing international crowd to the Costa Blanca and prompting comparisons with Ibiza.
SOLTA launched at Achill in May with more than 400 guests and closed its summer run on Saturday 5 September, when crowds danced on the venue’s Mediterranean facing terrace from late afternoon into the evening.
The parties were set up by Jávea residents Justin Hobbs and Scott Sinfield, who wanted the kind of night they would actually go to themselves: quality house music, longer DJ sets and a welcoming dancefloor that mixed ages, backgrounds and nationalities.
For UK travellers, Jávea is a straightforward alternative to the White Isle. The town is around an hour’s drive from Alicante Airport, which has direct flights from airports across Britain, and already offers beaches, restaurants, nightlife and a relaxed Spanish character that has pulled in both holidaymakers and international residents.
Hobbs and Sinfield believe the events have tapped into demand for carefully curated daytime parties away from the scale and intensity of the superclubs.
Justin Hobbs said: “We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported SOLTA this summer. Selling out three events in our first season is something we never expected, but what has meant the most to us are the messages and conversations we’ve had with guests afterwards. People haven’t just talked about the music. They’ve told us about the atmosphere, the friendships they made and how refreshing it was to see so many different people sharing the same dancefloor. Jávea already has the beaches, the sunshine and some incredible venues. It also has a wonderfully international community and is easy to reach from the UK. We believe there is an opportunity to create something genuinely special here while retaining the warmth and personality that made the first SOLTA events so memorable.”
Talks are already under way for 2027, with new dates, venues and collaborations being explored. The pair say the aim is not simply to make SOLTA bigger, but to keep distinctive settings, high quality house music, thoughtful production and an inclusive atmosphere that feels personal rather than corporate.
With Jávea emerging as one of the Mediterranean’s most talked about lifestyle destinations, SOLTA could give British music fans sunshine, house music and Balearic energy without the Ibiza price tag. Further announcements on the 2027 season will be made in the coming months.
