King Princess has released her highly anticipated third album Girl Violence today, coinciding with the announcement of her December UK tour dates. The Brooklyn-based artist will perform at Beckett in Leeds on December 6th and New Century Hall in Manchester on December 7th, with tickets now on sale.
The new record, created in collaboration with producers Jake Portrait and Aire Atlantica, marks a potent return to form for Mikaela Straus after stepping back from the major label system. Girl Violence captures the sound of the artist rebuilding after personal upheaval, representing her fight for creative freedom and agency in the music industry.
Before her full UK tour, King Princess will bring her infamous Bazongas Party to London for the first time on September 25th at Coven in Hackney Wick. The album celebration event, created in collaboration with Queer House Party, promises “music, mayhem, mischief and millions of Margaritas” as fans get their first taste of the new material.
The album release comes during an exciting period for Straus, who is making her television debut in the new season of Nine Perfect Strangers alongside Nicole Kidman, and will soon make her feature film debut in Song Sung Blue starring Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson.

King Princess – the project of Brooklyn-based vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer and actor Mikaela Straus – releases her triumphant third record Girl Violence today. Girl Violence, out now on section1, was announced earlier this Summer with a performance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Made in collaboration with Jake Portrait (Lil Yachty, Alex G, Unknown Mortal Orchestra), and Aire Atlantica (breakthrough: SZA’s ‘Low’), Girl Violence is the sound of Straus picking up the pieces after her world fell apart – fighting for freedom, stepping back from the limelight and major label system, breaking up, moving away, and returning to NYC where she was born and raised. Kicking off at Austin City Limits in October, King Princess will tour throughout North America including a show in her hometown of NYC at Brooklyn Paramount before touring throughout the UK and Europe in December.
