Lighthouse Family have announced a 16-date UK and Ireland tour for March 2027, celebrating their debut album Ocean Drive and their greatest hits. Tickets go on general sale at 9.30am on Friday 23 October via gigsandtours.co.uk.
The run is the duo’s first full tour since their 2019 and 2020 shows in support of Blue Sky in Your Head. It also marks a reunion after Paul Tucker said in June 2022 that the pair’s time together had reached its end, weeks before they were due to headline Mouth of the Tyne Festival.
Throughout March, vocalist Tunde Baiyewu and songwriter, keyboardist and producer Paul Tucker will revisit Ocean Drive alongside fan favourites from across their catalogue. Dates include Dublin’s 3Olympia, Belfast’s Waterfront Hall, The London Palladium and Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall, with a hometown show at Newcastle’s O2 City Hall on Thursday 25 March.
Some venues are running pre-sales on Thursday 22 October. The London Palladium and Bridgewater Hall have listed member pre-sales from 9.30am, while Bradford Live has a Priority Live pre-sale from 10am. An Evening on Ocean Drive meet and greet is also being offered at selected shows, including a front-row ticket, a photo, a signed Ocean Drive poster and a VIP tote at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall.
Lighthouse Family formed in Newcastle in the early 1990s after Baiyewu and Tucker met while studying and working in the same bar. They have sold more than 15 million albums worldwide. Ocean Drive, released in 1995, went six-times platinum in the UK on sales of 1.8 million and spent 175 weeks on the Official Albums Chart, peaking at number three. It produced Lifted, which reached number four on re-release in 1996, plus Ocean Drive and Goodbye Heartbreak.
The 1997 follow-up, Postcards from Heaven, matched that six-times platinum status and peaked at number two. It delivered High, Raincloud and Lost in Space. Whatever Gets You Through the Day followed in 2001, before the pair returned in 2019 with Blue Sky in Your Head, their first studio album in 18 years, which reached number three.
Since the 2022 split, Baiyewu has continued as a solo artist, including a billed appearance at Soul Town Festival in 2023. The new tour gives audiences another chance to hear a catalogue built around hope, love and those soaring choruses.
