Pop icon MIKA has been announced as the second headliner for On The Mount at Wasing, performing at the Berkshire woodland amphitheatre on Friday 26 June 2026. Tickets for the show go on sale this week, with an O2 presale beginning Wednesday 29 October at 10am, followed by a Ticketmaster presale on Thursday 30 October at 10am, and general sale on Friday 31 October at 10am.
The announcement marks the return of On The Mount at Wasing, one of the UK’s most distinctive concert series set within the spectacular natural amphitheatre of Wasing Estate near Reading. MIKA joins previously announced headliners Pixies, who will perform on Saturday 27 June, with more acts to be announced.
The Mount provides a truly unique setting for live music, with audiences welcomed through an enchanting woodland trail before reaching the natural amphitheatre surrounded by wildflowers and panoramic treescape vistas. The venue is part of the Wasing Estate, which places great importance on managing land sustainably and preserving biodiversity, creating what organisers describe as a mindful and transportive setting immersed in nature.
MIKA launched his pop career in 2007 with the defining single ‘Grace Kelly’, which sold over 3 million copies worldwide and became the second British single ever to top the chart based on download sales alone. The track reached number one in the UK for five weeks and topped charts in six other countries. His debut album ‘Life In Cartoon Motion’ went straight to number one in the UK and 11 other countries, has amassed over 2.8 billion streams to date, and sold over 8.3 million copies worldwide.
With further hit records including ‘The Boy Who Knew Too Much’, ‘The Origin of Love’, ‘No Place in Heaven’, ‘My Name is Michael Holbrook’, and his most recent ‘Que ta tête fleurisse toujours’, MIKA has sold over 10 million albums globally and holds Gold or Platinum awards in 32 countries worldwide. The artist has been nominated for and won awards including BRITs, GRAMMYs, and Ivor Novello Awards.
MIKA continues to perform on the world’s biggest stages including Coachella, and in 2022 had the honour of acting as an international host of the Eurovision Song Contest, delivering a performance to an audience of over 160 million viewers. His appearance at On The Mount at Wasing represents one of the UK’s most anticipated outdoor shows for summer 2026.
The concert series is promoted by Senbla, part of Sony Music Entertainment, which operates nationally and internationally across music touring, festivals, and entertainment. In recent years Senbla has brought leading artists such as Michael Bublé, Robbie Williams, My Chemical Romance, Duran Duran, The Chemical Brothers, and Diana Ross to unique outdoor venues across the UK.
Wasing Estate has a rich history of hosting music events, having previously been home to the Glade dance music festival in the mid-late 2000s and currently hosting Medicine Festival, a unique remedial festival experience. The venue’s Food Glade provides vibrant drinks and dining menus with forest floor hospitality, offering what organisers describe as exquisite hospitality celebrating contemporary and world music.
