New Found Glory will close the main stage at 2000trees Festival 2027, making their debut at the event with two exclusive sets for 30 years of the band. The first wave also includes an exclusive reunion of Reuben, plus Creeper, Mannequin Pussy, The Menzingers, Fever 333, unpeople, Chalk, Bayside, Lonely The Brave and Native James.
The multi award winning festival returns to Upcote Farm, near Cheltenham, from Wednesday 7th to Saturday 10th July 2027. It is the 20th anniversary of an event still run by the original six friends who started it. Organiser James Scarlett said he is “very proud of where we are as we come into celebrating 20 years”, and that staying independent, and booking a bill they would want to see themselves, is not going to change.
New Found Glory will play a deep cuts set in the Forest on the Friday, then close the main stage. The band said they have spent the year planning 2027 shows for the anniversary, adding: “Chad was a part of all these plans and will be there in spirit with us as we celebrate with our fans all around the world.” They also said they are “excited to kick it off with the 2000trees announcement in the UK”.
Reuben will play a 2000trees audience for the first time. Frontman Jamie Lenman has already played every stage at the festival as a solo artist. Organisers pointed fans to a Reuben announcement video.
Returning favourites include Creeper, who first played The Cave in 2015 and were back on the bill when the festival added 42 acts for 2020. Mannequin Pussy played at 1pm on the second stage in 2022. The Menzingers will play an After The Party 10th anniversary show.
unpeople, who say they were “born as a band at trees in 2023” after appearing on that year’s line-up, wrote: “we are excited to return to upcote farm next year… untreeple 2027.” Fever 333, Chalk (currently supporting Fontaines D.C. on their European arena tour) and Native James are also in. Native James said a main stage slot is “just nuts”, adding: “It’s Naruto runs all day until I play… let’s create carnage.”
Bayside, Vower and Lonely The Brave are confirmed too. Lonely The Brave return with original vocalist Dave Jakes after 10 years without playing together. INME, who headlined the very first 2000trees, will play a special 2007 anniversary set. Cheltenham post hardcore band Crooks play their first gig since 2016.
The Revival Tour takes over the Forest on Friday, curated by Chuck Ragan of Hot Water Music. It features Brian Fallon of The Gaslight Anthem, Dave Hause, Dan Andriano of Alkaline Trio, Tim Barry, Emily Barker and Jenny Owen Youngs. Hot Water Music are also on the wider bill. The Gaslight Anthem previously headlined Thursday at 2000trees 2024.
Scarlett said it “seems wild” to look back at a history that includes Frank Turner, IDLES, Wolf Alice, George Ezra and Kneecap, and called 2027 “a massive celebration”. The festival won Best Medium Festival at the UK Festival Awards in 2024, 2023, 2022 and 2018.
