Nickelback have released their eleventh studio album, Everything Under The Sun, today (30 October) via Virgin Music Group. The 12 track collection is the Canadian rock band’s follow up to 2022’s Get Rollin’, and it arrives as they prepare for the Everything Under The Sun Tour, which begins in Pittsburgh on 6 February 2027.

The album moves between arena sized rock and more personal songwriting, covering freedom, heartbreak, redemption and human connection. It is led by Rattle The Cage, featuring John 5, which has spent three consecutive weeks at No. 1 on rock radio in Canada and topped the US Active Rock radio chart. Make Me Love You, which examines the uncertainty of opening your heart to someone else, has been upgraded to the BBC Radio 2 A List, effective this Saturday.

Frontman Chad Kroeger says the record captures every side of the band. “There are songs that hit as hard as anything we’ve ever done, songs that take chances, and songs that remind us why we love making music together,” he says.

Last Night Was Fun is described as a celebration of unforgettable nights, larger than life stories and questionable decisions. Leave Me Behind is one of the album’s emotional centrepieces, dealing with loyalty and standing by someone through their darkest moments, while Lift Somebody Up focuses on compassion and showing up for other people. If I Don’t Go confronts the decision to leave a familiar life behind, break destructive cycles and pursue a different future, touching on addiction, survival and redemption. Bottled Dreams finds hope in the idea that even the most uncertain messages can find their way home.

Their catalogue includes How You Remind Me, Photograph, Far Away, Someday, Rockstar and Burn It to the Ground.
