The tenth anniversary of Noisily Festival, taking place 6-9 July 2023, will welcome 6500 festival-goers from across the globe to its spectacular new site in Barkestone Woods, just outside Grantham, Lincolnshire.
Each year the Noisily family gathers in the woods to dance, create, learn and connect. Guided by the environment and grounded in nature, Noisily is an event forged in a holistic setting which aims to feed the mind, body and soul.
The truly unique experience has found a new home in the acres and acres of ancient woodlands, and is gearing up to host its largest event to date, after sadly departing the hidden wooden valley in Coney Woods that has been its home since it launched in 2012.
The new site is revealed in a brand new video, along with a bespoke tenth-anniversary brand and new website. Phase three tickets are now on sale, priced at £209 per person, but to celebrate this landmark moment, Noisily will launch a special Christmas ticket offer on the 9th of December ‘22, which offers £15 off each phase three ticket bought when purchasing two tickets together.
Rooted in underground electronic music, Noisily is part of a global family of transformational festivals which take place all over the world each year. Noisily was born out of and developed through the UK underground scene and the Glade Festival movement which was established at Glastonbury in 2000. Various members of Noisily’s core team and crew first cut their teeth at Glade in both production and marketing capacities.
The arts programme is curated by Ruth Herbert, who has led and designed projects for the likes of Burning Man, Ibiza Rocks Hotel and Beat Hotel, is a wonderfully varied and psychedelic affair, creating beautiful and interactive pieces which grow and evolve each year. The striking, wonderous stage installations and magical sculptures hidden in the woods are truly a feast for the eyes.
Noisily very recently announced its Arts Application for next year’s festival, inviting design makers and dynamic creatives to put forward their vision for art installations and sculptures, creating the opportunity for individuals to showcase their work at the festival and offering grants to potential installation designers.
The festival also offers a huge wellness programme, which includes holistic experiences, unique workshops, talks, and panels, encouraging attendees to discover, explore, play, move, meditate and create.
As part of a brand new theme for the 2023 wellness programme “We Are Love”, Noisily invites attendees to celebrate love in all its magical manifestations, colours and textures. Applications are also officially open for all thought leaders, yogis, healers, ritualists and performers to reach out and get involved with the 2023 wellness programme.
Noisily is passionate about creating a safe, welcoming environment for all attendees and encourages friendships amongst its community. The festival is also hugely passionate about the environment and consistently works towards running a more environmentally friendly event. The event has implemented a zero single use plastic rule, and all arts materials on site are reused and repurposed each year in the effort to minimise waste.
Commenting on next years’ festival and the announcement of the new location, Lachie Gordon Athié, one of the Noisily founders states:
“As with many events, it’s been a rocky few years for us, with many ups and downs. The pandemic hit us hard financially and there have been a few moments where we thought we couldn’t go on.
Luckily, our community had other ideas, and when we shared our plight the response was overwhelming, with over £137,000 being donated to keep the festival afloat.
Following this, we found a spectacular and previously unused new site only 30 minutes from Coney Woods. With hundreds of acres of ancient woodlands, it was clearly the perfect place to celebrate the 10th edition of Noisily and build a home for the next 10 years!
The new site has inspired the team afresh, a beautiful new natural canvas to express our creativity and an opportunity to program the widest selection of music, art and performance we have ever attempted!”
