Otherlands Music & Arts Festival has announced eleven new additions to this year’s multi-genre lineup and shared the first names hosting a range of inspiring workshops.
Fresh from destroying dancefloors in venues like Berghain, Amsterdam’s De School and The Pickle Factory in London, one of the most exciting DJs from the new wave of high-speed and industrial techno artists VTSS is confirmed, alongside one of the founding figures of Detroit techno, the enigmatic DJ Stingray 313 and staple of Glasgow’s own underground scene, Gary Beck.
One of the most celebrated champions of Scotland’s house scene, Dixon Avenue Basement Jams have also been announced, as well as Peach resident K4CIE; Edinburgh-based all-female DJ collective Miss World; Glasgow’s Club Sylkie; DJ and producer Wheelman; and one of the country’s most exciting R&B artists, Aberdeen’s AiiTee. Joining the live acts already announced are Dundee pop-sensation Be Charlotte and synth-driven Edinburgh four-piece Redolent.
Born out of imbalance and underrepresentation, Selextorhood empower the community by safely building confidence and inspiring representation in the music industry. They will be delivering a series of DJing workshops throughout the weekend.
Festival-goers will also be invited to try out a variety of wellness activities on offer throughout the weekend with Yoga & Breathwork brought to you by Emma McCready and JJ Rob.
Acclaimed versatile musical comedian Amy Webber joins the comedy lineup, with more names to be announced in the coming months including a host of comedians from Edinburgh’s Fringe Festival.
