Following on from the release of his latest singles ‘Taste It’ and ‘Cynical’ – which garnered high praise from BBC Radio 1 Introducing Rock show host Alyx Holcombe and others – South London Pop-Punk gem Keeper explores recovery and self-love in his latest single ‘Alright/Too Slow’.

The third release from the 2025 Keeper EP titled Cabin Fever, ‘Alright/Too Slow’ was written alongside and produced by Jon Cass (As Everything Unfolds) and features Keeper live guitarist Kamil Szmidt, as well as drum contributions from Dream State’s Tom Connolly. Written as an ode to his post-breakup self, the track centres around themes of showing up for yourself, backing yourself, and putting yourself first.

On ‘Alright/Too Slow’, Keeper’s Emanuel Andrade shared ‘This track […] is about acknowledging the damage and pain but refusing to let it define you. It’s about pulling yourself up, moving on, and chasing the goals that once felt hindered by the relationship.’

Discussing the lyrical content, Keeper continued – ‘one of my favorite moments is the fourth-wall break after the solo: ‘It’s so hard to accept the fact that I’m feeling better alone. You’re losing sleep and I’m out here, still singing this song’. That line hits especially hard because, despite being blocked, my ex has found new ways to reach out—new Instagram accounts, new numbers. It’s honestly terrifying, and this song is a very real reflection of that for me. When I find myself in those moments, I listen back—almost like I’m speaking to myself. It makes me realize just how much I’ve changed, how far I’ve come, and all the steps I’ve taken—not just to get back to normal, but to be better.’
