The award-winning RADAR Festival – the UK’s most exciting new progressive music festival – has announced a host of new bands for its 2023 edition.
Friday headliners are the mighty Sleep Token, announced alongside progressive metalcore group Volumes (UK festival exclusive), Irish post-rock favourites God Is An Astronaut, and hotly-tipped alt-pop trio Exploring Birdsong.
Joining them are progressive metal legends Monuments and making their first-ever UK appearance, one of 2022’s breakout forward-thinking heavy bands in The Callous Daoboys.

Due to a diary clash, RADAR 2023 has moved location to Manchester’s O2 Victoria Warehouse – a stunning new venue and one which promises to provide a truly incredible experience.
Co-organiser Ash Cook comments: “This summer is going to be so special: we have brought together inspiring bands and outstanding musicians together in the vibrant city that we now call home, Manchester. The last few weeks of winning Best New Festival, a venue move, and confirming this next wave of acts has left me proud and excited to be working with our team to produce another outstanding event.
“When I like a band, I really get sucked into all elements of their music. It’s been a pleasure getting to do that with some fantastic rising stars among our line-up, as well as reacquainting myself with memorable moments from incredible albums from the more established acts that we’re bringing over.

RADAR Festival 2023 will be held 28-30th July at the new venue of O2 Victoria Warehouse, Manchester.

Following the sell-out success of RADAR 2022, the festival’s second ever edition (featuring Leprous, Haken, Dirty Loops‘ debut UK performance and many more), RADAR 2023 will be moving from Guildford’s Corner House to Manchester’s O2 Victoria Warehouse, and will boast an internationally acclaimed 42-band bill.
RADAR capped their intensely impressive 2022 by winning the Best New Festival Award and the UK Festival Awards on 6th December in Manchester.
With their mixture of international talent and confirmed homegrown success, RADAR Festival has already positioned themselves as a champion of forward-thinking guitar-led progressive music. No genre boundaries, welcome to all, RADAR Festival was launched in 2019 to acclaim, with performances from Animals As Leaders, Agent Fresco, Rolo Tomassi, among others. Following the COVID hiatus, RADAR Festival 2022 expanded to three days with triumphant appearances from Leprous, Haken, Dirty Loops, Plini, Conjurer, Soen and more.
