Arizona rock icons Jimmy Eat World have announced their biggest UK headline show to date at London’s Gunnersbury Park on Sunday 16 August 2026, with major support confirmed from punk rock heavyweights Rise Against . The show will serve as a 25th-anniversary celebration of the band’s landmark album Bleed American, with The Get Up Kids and Jay Som also joining the bill for what promises to be a definitive day of alternative rock .
Pre-sales for the event begin at 10am on Tuesday 2 December, with fans able to sign up via jimmyeatworld.com, while general tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday 5 December through Ticketmaster . The concert offers UK fans a rare opportunity to see Jimmy Eat World perform Bleed American in full, alongside rarities and hits from their extensive catalogue, presented with their largest production to date .
Rise Against, known for their melodic hardcore sound and socially conscious lyrics, are a significant addition to the line-up, adding considerable weight to the event . Their inclusion alongside The Get Up Kids and Jay Som creates a comprehensive billing that spans multiple generations of alternative music .
Released in July 2001, Bleed American stands as a pivotal record that propelled alternative rock into the mainstream and established Jimmy Eat World as key figures of the 2000s music scene . The album has been certified Platinum in the US and Gold in the UK, with the breakout single ‘The Middle’ surpassing one billion streams on Spotify . Its influence extends to a wave of subsequent artists, including Fall Out Boy, Paramore, and Dashboard Confessional, who have all cited the record as a major inspiration .
Speaking about the anniversary celebration, frontman Jim Adkins said: “When we printed the last mix of Bleed American, we felt like we had achieved something great for ourselves. There was no barometer of how it would connect with people outside of the studio and we are still in awe with the life the record and songs have had since their original release. Bleed American is as much yours as it is ours, so we want to celebrate it with you all in a very special way” .
The announcement caps a period of intense live activity for Jimmy Eat World, following an acclaimed set at Download Festival and a North American tour supporting The Offspring . While the band is currently in the studio working on new music, this Gunnersbury Park date with Rise Against marks their next major milestone on UK soil .
Fans can also expect material from the band’s recent Something(s) Loud EP, which was released on 14 November . The release features the vinyl debuts of singles ‘Something Loud’ and ‘Place Your Debts’, as well as the previously unreleased track ‘Failure’ from the Surviving sessions .
