Technics has announced a limited edition collaboration with The Rolling Stones, launching a special version of its EAH-AZ100 true wireless earbuds to coincide with the band’s new album, Foreign Tongues, released on 10th July.
The joint project brings together Technics’ audiophile engineering credentials and the Stones’ status as one of music’s most enduring acts, with the earbuds built around the brand’s Magnetic Fluid Driver, the first of its kind in the industry, delivering ultra-low distortion, deep controlled bass and clarity across the frequency range. Foreign Tongues was recorded at Metropolis Studios in London, the same studio the Stones used for their previous album Hackney Diamonds, including the recording of their 2023 single Sweet Sounds of Heaven featuring Lady Gaga and Stevie Wonder.
Each set arrives in a specially designed gift box, housing the EAH-AZ100 in black finish alongside an exclusive rubber case embossed with the band’s Lips & Tongue logo, turning the audio product into a collector’s item. The edition is strictly limited to 5,000 units worldwide, with each protective case laser-engraved with a unique serial number from 0001 to 5000 on the reverse; numbers cannot be pre-selected, though Technics is inviting fans whose serial happens to align with a significant date in Rolling Stones history to share the moment.

Foreign Tongues follows Hackney Diamonds, the band’s first studio album of new material since 2005’s A Bigger Bang, which itself was preceded by the Grammy-winning covers record Blue & Lonesome and a run of sold-out global tours, including the 60th anniversary Sixty tour that drew nearly a quarter of a million European fans. That record marked the first Rolling Stones album produced by Andrew Watt and featured high-profile guest turns from Lady Gaga and Stevie Wonder, both of whom have historic ties to the band, Gaga having joined them onstage during the 50 & Counting tour and Wonder having toured with the Stones back in 1972.
Technics itself carries a long design pedigree, having launched in 1965 with the Technics 1 speaker before pioneering the direct-drive turntable, a innovation that helped lay the groundwork for today’s DJ and club culture. The brand continues to position itself at the intersection of analogue heritage and modern digital audio, making this Rolling Stones collaboration a natural extension of that legacy.
